"Alright we should be alright now." Tatsumi said. Kaname didn't say anything. "I've asked everyone else to leave. Plus I've locked the door and put some barricades to block the entrance and the windows are of course all sealed. This is a sealed chamber now. Whatever you say only God and I will hear it." He added.
"Be at ease. Please talk to me about your troubles." He then said. Still Kaname didn't say anything. "Do not be afraid. Look it's just you and me here. And I will stay here until you are willing to open up. No matter how long it takes I'm here to listen." Tatsumi said.
Finally Kaname spoke. "...For what reason? Why are you doing this?" He asked. "Haha. Glad to see that you're willing to talk now. Please continue." Tatsumi said. "By the way my apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I am Kazehaya Tatsumi." He then said.
"Kazehaya Tatsumi..." "Hai. You can call me however you like. I do not mind being called 'Kazehaya' or 'Tatsumi' although I have been called 'Reverend' on TV shows lately." Tatsumi said. "...Why are you here?" Kaname asked.
"I should be the one asking you that. Himeru-san you're an honored student right? You should have a luxurious private room prepared for you in the new dormitory building. Although I shouldn't really talk. The same goes for me too. Then again I feel like it'll be a waste to live in such a big room by myself so I recently converted it into a training room that's open to everyone." Tatsumi said.
"It's become a room where people can meet up and practice but it's also getting noisy and crowded with everyone coming and going so other residents don't seem to like it." He added.
"Ahh I do remember something like that. Some honoured students have started commuting from home because they feel dorms are uncomfortable." Kaname said. "I see. Hmm I was trying to create a comfortable space for everyone but looks like it didn't go too well." Tatsumi said.
"For some reason I'm always at odds with the honoured students but luckily little by little some of them are getting more understanding. It will surely be a tough road ahead with countless challenges. Although that sounds exciting." He added with a chuckle.
Kaname didn't say anything in response. "Oh dear me this isn't the time for me to talk about myself. Himeru-san why are you here?" Tatsumi asked. "If you stay here, students who live in this room will have no place to sleep. Oh and I'm not blaming you by the way. I just want to know the reason behind it." He added.
"...What about you then? If you converted your private room into a training room where are you sleeping instead?" Kaname asked. "Oya? Does it really matter to you so much?" Tatsumi asked. "As long as I have a sleeping bag I can sleep anywhere. These days I've been staying late doing various activities and then sleeping on the floor of the Catacombe." He then said.
"It feels like I'm camping every day and it's fun. I can even have barbecues with people." He added. "...First of all I'm not dumb. Yet I don't have any idea what on earth you're talking about. From what you said it's hard to even believe that you go to the same school as me." Kaname said with a sigh.
"Haha. Well honoured students do have a hard time noticing those who are different. So I can't forgive myself and I'm trying to connect with people outside our closed circles." Tatsumi said. "...Do you dislike yourself for being an honored student?" Kaname asked.
"No not necessarily. But I feel like that the unequal system of Reimei Academy needs to be changed. We can't keep going forward by taking advantage of the weak. What I am doing right now is just my insignificant protest against the system." Tatsumi replied.
"If you dislike being an honored student so much..." Kaname said before trying to grab Tatsumi. The action shocked Tatsumi as he got pinned down. "Oya. You've pushed me down. It's rare for me to get this close to someone so my heart is racing haha." Tatsumi said.
"Kazehaya Tatsumi. Kazehaya Tatsumi. Kazehaya Tatsumi." Kaname said. "Hai. I am Kazehaya Tatsumi. I'm delighted that you remembered my name." Tatsumi said. "...One of the top student idols even among all honoured students in Reimei Academy. A genius, a star of its era who's destined to have a brilliant path of glory ahead." Kaname said.
"Well people sure have been describing me like that." Tatsumi said. "But that reputation, those titles, are supposed to be mine." Kaname said. "I do recall you having such a reputation though." Tatsumi said.
"Please...please..I'm begging you..Please give all of those to me...!" Kaname said. "...?" Tatsumi tilted his head in confusion. "If I'm no longer an honoured student then I'll lose the meaning of my life..." Kaname said.
