Chapter 57: Preparations (Abyssal Hunters)

A few days have gone by while the members of Abyssal Hunters practice with all their might. They are also working hard to create a song for their shuffle unit. After some thinking it was decided Ito and Himeru would be the centers. Although Himeru said he would rather not be one after some convincing from the rest he reluctantly agreed.

Once practice was over the five of them decided to head back to their dorms as it was getting a little late. When Ito entered his room he saw Koga playing with Leon and Tatsumi looking at them playing with a smile.

Tatsumi then noticed Ito came in. "Oya? Takasaki-san welcome back." He said. Koga then turned to see Ito. "Oh if it isn't Takki! How's the shuffle unit going?" He asked. "H-Huh? How did you know that?" Ito asked as he goes over to them.

"I heard it from Adonis. He seemed happy to be in the same shuffle unit as you." Koga said. "I-Is that so?" Ito asked. "Shuffle Unit...if I remember correctly as of now three shuffle units were already formed. EVIL NUM+, Nightfrost and M∀N∀(Mana). And now we have another one called Abyssal Hunters. Producer-san has it tough as always I see." Tatsumi said.

"Going back to my question how was it? Is the song coming up well? If you want I can help you with it! Oh but I guess Shiron is also a good option for advice." Koga said. "Ahh...Y-Yep actually I'm having a little bit of trouble coming up with the lyrics." Ito said.

"Is that so? Then let's go ahead to Shiron's room!" Koga said. "In that case I shall stay here and take care of Leon-san. Shiro-san still hates me after all." Tatsumi said. "Oh right. Haaa I really wish I knew what happened for Shiron to hate you." Koga said with a sigh. "Again I apologize but if Shiro-san doesn't want to say it I don't have any obligations to tell you." Tatsumi said.

"Yeah I know. No choice then. I'll leave Leon to you. You better be a good boy while I'm gone Leon!" Koga said. "Woof!" Leon said before Ito and Koga head to Shiro's room. A while later they reached as Ito knocked on the door. They then heard Tsukasa saying "Come in."

As they entered the room they saw the four of them playing UNO. "H-Hello there King..." Ito said. "...Hm? Ito? It's rare for you to come to my room. What's wrong?" Shiro asked. "Oi oi don't forget about me. In fact it's more rare to see you playing." Koga said.

"I didn't forget. Also playing card games was Suou's idea. Since I don't have much work today he said I should take the chance to rest and play especially since I'm part of the ASOBI Club." Shiro said. "Hai! It's a rare chance for all of us to be present since Shiro-senpai would mostly head to practice so the three of us convinced him to play with us!" Suou said with a proud face.

"More importantly do the two of you have something to ask Shiro-dono?" Souma asked. "Oh right Takki have something he needs to ask you regarding his shuffle unit." Koga said. "...Regarding his shuffle unit?" Shiro asked. "...U-Um...K-King..." "...Hm?" "...P-Please teach me how to write songs!" "...Hai?"

"Apparently for his shuffle unit the members decided to write a song together. But it's not really coming up well. And so since you're a song writing genius we decided maybe you can help." Koga said. "...What's with that? Well I don't mind helping out but I'll need a rough idea on what your shuffle unit is about." Shiro said.

"Ah...S-Sure I'll tell you!" Ito said as he and Koga head to where the four are and tell them what drama they are doing. "...I see. Arius Squad and Sensei huh?" Shiro said. "...The ruler of Arius, Beatrice can be seen a 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 and the four Arius students known as the Arius Squad will take her down with Sensei." Tsukasa said.

Shiro can then be seen thinking of something. "Shiro-dono?" Shinobu asked. "....Yosh I got it." "Eh?" "Wait for a moment." Shiro said as he goes to take a piece of paper and a pen as he starts writing. "...As expected of a writing genius. Immediately coming up with an idea." Koga said in surprise.

A while later he was done he then stood up and hands Ito the paper. "Here." "E-Eh?! You're done already?!" Ito said. He knew his King is a genius at song writing but he never knew he can be this fast. "...For now look through the lyrics. But since it's your shuffle unit I want you to only use it as a reference to create a song only Abyssal Hunters can sing." Shiro said.

"Ah...Y-Yep okay! Thank you King...!" Ito said with a smile. "...You're very welcome." Shiro said. "Now then we'll get back to our dorm now. Feel free to continue your game." Koga said. "Don't worry we plan to do that anyways." Tsukasa said before Ito and Koga leave the room.

The next day the members of Abyssal Hunters continued practicing for their drama. After they decided to take a break. When Mikejima asked about the song Ito told them that thanks to Shiro's reference he managed to write a draft out. Everyone was curious as Ito took a paper out.

When the rest read it they were surprised. "This is...Takasaki-san did you really write this by yourself just from Older Hanagaki's reference?" Himeru asked. "Eh? Y-Yeah I did though...?" Ito said. "Ohhh not bad Takasaki-kun. This is good let's use this as our song~" Ritsu said.

"I agree! Especially since Takasaki-san worked hard to write this. It would be a waste to not use it!" Mikejima said. "Yeah. Let's practice it immediately." Adonis said. The rest nodded in agreement. Ito is glad they decided to use his song. He'll need to thank his King later again for helping him. The five then continued practicing until it was time for the shuffle unit live.
