Light walked into the examination Hall where he would give the entrance exam for Toho university.

His eyes searched for a particular person who he believed had the same exam room as him, (Y/n).

Light unfortunately, could not walk with his love interest to the examination hall as (Y/n)'s brother had returned from England to attend his only sister's most important exam.

Light didn't know much about your brother because he was rather.. 'Secretive'. All he knew was that your brother was an agent of some sort.

Soon enough the room started to get filled with various students flocking in to give the examination, among them Light finally spotted his girl as she walked in with a very happy expression on her face.

He knew why you were so happy. Because of your brother. You were happy that your brother who could barely visit, had taken time off to visit for your exams.

The girl spotted the brown haired boy as she smiled brightly at him and mouthed 'good luck' to him as he did the same.

Light sat in one of the front row seats as he discreetly looked behind to see you take a seat in a column next to him, a few seats behind him.

Soon the exam started as only the sound of pens gliding across the papers and papers turning were heard.

Well that was until the invigilator called out to a particular student.

"No.3267 please sit properly!"

As the others simply continued writing, Light had an immense urge to look behind him and so he did.

His eyes met with two black voids that bored into Light's soul. The 'student' seemed a little older than all the other students and he was certainly very 'eye-catching'.

The rather strange student had an exceptionally unusual way of sitting. He sat with his knees up to chest. He had disheveled hair and only wore a plain white t-shirt with baggy jeans. Very out of the place.

Something about the odd man's presence made Light feel very threatened. He had a feeling this was not going to be the last time he would be seeing the rather strange man.

After the exam ended, Light immediately followed his love interest out of the exam room. He still felt like he was being watched and he had an ominous feeling that it was that strange man.

"Light~! How was your exam?" The girl asked the brown haired boy.

"It was good, what about you?" Light smiled at the girl and waited for her to answer.

"I think I did well~..." The girl cooed cutely.

Light smiled at his love interest. He smiled so much around her but the said girl had never taken a notice of it. She thought Light was like that to everyone well except for a few days when she actually started noticing how Light behaves with others and how he behaves with her.

He was certainly nicer to her.

Light was used to walking you home so much that he expected the same today as well. That was until the unofficial couple reached the gates.

Various guardians were standing outside waiting for their own children. Light spotted his mother in a distance talking to a man.

Light squinted his eyes at the man. Although he could only see the man's back, he could still tell that he had never seen the man before.

The man was tall and well built. He has jet black hair. He didn't need to look at the man's face to know that he's certainly handsome.

(Y/n)'s gaze shifted to where Light was looking and she immediately beamed which caused Light to look at her with a tint of confusion.

𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵... 𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵..?

"My brother!" The girl exclaimed as she excitedly pointed towards the mysterious man and Light's mother who were at a distance.

Light couldn't help but smile at your happiness.

"Come on Light!" You exclaimed happily as you dragged Light to meet your brother.

Yes, Light had never officially met your brother before but Light's parents did.

"Oni-chan~!" You cooed as you jumped into your brother's embrace who only chuckled in response and hugged you back.

Light just stood there dumbfounded.

𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵..

Sachiko giggled at the siblings.

"Oh Mrs Yagami~! Hello!" You jumped from your brother's embrace and cheerfully bowed to Light's mother as she greeted you back with the same enthusiasm.

As you and Sachiko Yagami got lost in your conversations, Light took this moment to take a good look at your brother as your brother did the same.

Light smiled politely at your brother and bowed as your brother returned the gesture with a small bow.

"Hello, I'm Light Yagami" Light introduced himself as he waited for your brother to do the same.

The man looked at Light for a moment then nodded acknowledging him.

"Yes, I've heard so much about you from (Y/n)" the man said slowly.

Light could sense a hint of hostility in your brother's voice but he assumed that it was normal for brothers to worry about their younger sisters. Light worried about Sayu to an extent but not so much as how your brother seemed to worry about you.

"Besides we're neighbors too, I'm well acquainted with the Yagami family so I know about you either way" the man stated in a more relaxed mannerism as he probably noticed Light getting tense earlier.

"I'm Stephen, (Y/n)'s older brother" the man finally introduced himself after a short while of tension.

"Nice to meet you older brother!" Light smiled brightly at your brother.

"(Y/n) told me about how you helped her when our house was broken into... I must thank you for looking after my sister in my absence, I'm truly grateful.."

"It's nothing really.. (Y/n)'s the 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘵 friend I ever had, I won't let anything happen to her... I promise I'll take care of her no matter what" Light laughed lightly as he said it.

Stephen stared into Light's soul for a few moments before he smiled at Light and pat his shoulder.

"You don't have too, but I'm glad my sister has some great company" Stephen smiled as he diverted his attention to Sachiko Yagami.

"Oh dear, you don't have to worry, (Y/n)'s just like our own child and so are you~" Sachiko Yagami exclaimed as she pat your head gently.
