Light fluttered his eyes open as he looked at his lover peacefully sleeping in his arms.

He smiled as he gently caressed his lover's hair.

Light's attention shifted towards the TV that was still on.

The new lovers fell asleep while watching the movie.

Light carefully grabbed a remote and turned the TV off as he shifted his attention to his lover.

Light placed sweet kisses on his lover's face as she squirmed a little.

"Mmmh..?"

"Good morning love~" Light said as he continued his kisses while his lover opened her eyes and looked at him flustered.

"We have to wake up sweetheart, we need to go to the taskforce.." Light spoke as he slowly got up and pulled his lover up with him.

"... What time is it?" You asked as you leaned on Light's shoulder.

"6am"

𝘼𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚

L observed the couple closely.

Light and (Y/n) did not mention anything about their relationship, yet L got a jest of it from the way they would glance at each other from time to time.

Apart from that, Light seemed to be extremely protective, no perhaps obsessive over his lover.

L noticed how Light would always come in between (Y/n) and Matsuda whenever they were to talk.

This is strange..

Light deliberately left hints for L.

"Light, do you want coffee?" (Y/n) asked Light as he smiled at her and nodded.

You went in the living room area which had a coffee machine so you started brewing coffee for yourself and Light.

Light pretended to be invested in his work as he looked around for any signs of his lover.

Soon she came into his view as he pretended to not see her coming.

You went over to Light and handed him a cup of coffee as he smiled at you.

"Thank you sweetheart" Light said loud enough for everyone to hear as he held your hand and made you sit beside him.

Soichiro Yagami choked at his own saliva as he heard what his son said.

Light was in his room casually writing the names of random criminals he could find in the news. He did not bother to check the criminal's backgrounds as he wrote their names with no remorse.

Light thought as he smiled to himself. Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by his mother calling him.

"Light! There's a boy at the door, he says he's your friend" Sachiko Yagami yelled to Light from downstairs.

"Yes!"

𝘔𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥? 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 '𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴'

Light rolled his eyes as he hid his death note in a safe place, his drawer, which will explode if anyone tries to pry it open without the method Light uses.

Light went downstairs as he opened the door to be met with a boy not much younger than Light, he looked to be about 17.

"Do I know you?" Light asked as the boy just beamed, Light could sense venom in that smile.

"Light Yagami right? I'm Minoru Tanaka" the boy said as he extended his hand for a handshake which Light ignored.

"Look I don't know you, it's late at night, just go home" Light said bored as he was about to close the door but he stopped in his tracks as the boy said something.

"The notebook, Shinigami....you're Kira aren't you?" the boy muttered, loud enough for only Light to hear.

Light sat on his bed as the boy sat on Light's desk chair.

Minoru looked around the room before his attention was shifted to the original Kira as he spoke.

"Well?" Light asked as he glared at the 17 year old.

"Ah right" Minoru searched through his bag as he finally pulled his hand up to reveal a leather black notebook, death note.

Minoru extended the notebook towards Light as he smirked.

"So that you can see my shinigami" Minoru said as Light touched his notebook to be met by a tall white shinigami.

Light didn't say anything he just smirked as he looked at the 17 year old.

"Why did you come after me?" Light asked in a bored manner as he checked his cell phone for any messages from his lover.

"I don't have much time to live so I thought I'll help Kira bring justice"

"So you have the eyes..." Light muttered to himself.

"Oh I didn't trade half of my life for it, someone else traded half of my life"

Light furrowed his brows but decided to not question further because he simply did not care in this boy's sob story.

"Yeah I can do that" the boy suddenly spoke causing Light to look up at him.

"You can read minds?"

"No... I just.. Kind of knew what you wanted.."

"Killing criminals isn't what you truly want.. Why are you willing to be by my side" Light asked as he eyed Minoru suspiciously.

"Because it's fun" Minoru replied as he smirked menacingly.

"....... Fine" Light said as he smirked back at Minoru causing Minoru to stop.

Light was just evil, he had an evil aura which earned a sweat drop from the boy but he kept his composure.
