Light rushed to your house as fast as he could. He had his phone to his ear as he kept reassuring you.

However, the call cut abruptly soon enough. Light tried calling you again but he couldn't reach you.

Light quickly found your house and pushed the door open which was already open.

He felt restless upon seeing the sight before him. Most of the furniture was a mess unlike what it was a couple of hours ago.

He heard some screams coming from your bedroom. Your screams.

𝘕𝘰.

Light quickly rushed to your bedroom, only to find the door open with a nasty hole. The door was hammered apart.

Inside he saw a man dressed in all black holding up a hammer. The man was about to hit you when Light quickly came and Pushed the masked man away from you.

You were frozen in your place. You couldn't move or scream no matter how much you wanted too.

Light and the killer started fighting.

You could hear police sirens nearby, and in a few moments a bunch of police officers barged into your room and apprehended the killer.

You were in shock from what had happened. You could've died if Light had not arrived.

Light rushed towards you after he ensured that the killer was not getting away.

Light gently wrapped his arms around you in a protective manner. He then picked you up and carried you outside your house.

Outside, along with all the other police officers, Light saw his father who approached the couple after he spotted them.

"(Y/n) are you alright?" Soichiro Yagami asked you to which you slowly nodded.

Light gently placed you on the floor, still not letting go of you. You were grateful for that, you felt safe with him around you, holding onto you.

A police officer approached the elder and started telling him about the killer.

"He had a hammer and we found ropes and duct tapes in his possession. Miss (Y/n) could've been a victim to a serious crime if not for Light.." The other officer told Soichiro Yagami.

You clung onto Light tighter. Hearing the officer made you think of all the possible ways the killer could have harmed you.

Light seemed to get the jest as he held you closer to his chest and wrapped his jacket around you.

"(Y/n) you should stay over at my house for a few days.." Light said softly.

"I-no.. It's a-alright-"

"He's right (Y/n), you should stay over at our house for a couple of days" Soichiro Yagami pitched in.

"I-i appreciate your kindness.. I really do but I don't want to be a bother to you guys..."

"You're not a bother to us (Y/n)!" Light whisper yelled.

"I.. I'll ask one of my friends if I can stay over at their house... I really appreciate your kindness.." You finished as you bowed 90° to Soichiro Yagami.

"I'll call your parents and inform them" the elder said as he excused himself to inform your parents about this incident.

You took out your phone shakily and dialed one of your close friend's number.

Light just held you closer to him.

"(Y/n)? Girl do you know what time it is?" Your very close friend Yumi spoke up from the other end.

".. Y-yumi.. Can I stay over at your house for a couple of days?.."

"Huh-.. Of course you can! You sound distressed (Y/n), did something happen? "
".. Yes"

You told your friend that you will explain everything to her once you got there and she was more than understanding.

Light dropped you off at Yumi's house. He made sure that you felt safe at all times, which you did.

You and Light stood before your friend's house. You held onto Light's hand like a little child holding onto their mother's hand on their first day of school.

"Call me if you need anything at all, okay?" Light asked you as you nodded.

He gently caressed your head.

The door opened after sometime revealing your concerned friend who ran over to you.

"(Y/n)? What happened? Come inside!"

You nodded as your friend looked at Light.

"Um, you want to come inside?"
She asked the male who had his eyes fixated on you.

"Oh no thanks, I just came here to drop (Y/n) off. Please take care of her" Light gave a small smile to Yumi and smiled brightly at you as he caressed your head one last time before leaving.

You watched as he left.

As Light was walking back to his house, he began thinking.

Light was frustrated. Ryuk just cackled behind Light.

Light had this itch in his hands. He wanted to give the criminal an extremely painful death.
