You were sitting in your classroom as the teacher was giving a lecture about some english lessons. You were concentrating so hard that you failed to notice the long lasting gaze from your seat mate.

Light was gazing at (Y/n). He loved how concentrated (Y/n) was in the lessons unlike 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.

𝘈𝘸𝘸 (𝘠/𝘯), 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥.. 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦..

Light thought to himself as he finally looked away to not come off as suspicious to anyone who might have been watching.

It had been a few days since he had started killing and over five pages were already filled completely. Kira had become very well known due to his notorious acts. In fact he had gotten so well known that the world's greatest detective was now after him.

Light's thoughts were soon interrupted by the bell ringing which indicated the end of the class session.

"Light I have a few problems that I need help with..." (Y/n) said as she gave puppy eyes to Light although it was not needed as he would help her anyways.

𝘚𝘰 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.

"Sure" Light replied as he guided his love interest out of the classroom.

Light took (Y/n) to a cafe in their neighborhood where they often visited for studying or just hanging out.

For Light, it was technically an unofficial date rather than studying or hanging out. He always perceived those things as dates but he knew better to not bring it up.

As the unknowing love birds studied, time had passed drastically as it was almost 8pm.

".. We studied for so long!" (Y/n) said as she pouted a little.

"Haha, at least we studied well.." Light replied as he smiled warmly at his companion which she returned gracefully.

"You know the drill, I'll walk you home"
Light said as he gestured (Y/n) to follow him which she did without any hesitation.

"Of course! We live in the same neighborhood, it would be weird if you didn't walk me home~" you cooed as Light chuckled.

You both chatted for a while until you arrived at your familiar doorstep.

Saying your goodbyes to Light, you close your door, not forgetting to lock it.

Light waited for the familiar sound of the lock and once he heard it, he made his way to his own respective house.

"Hey Light" the large creature, shinigami Ryuk, who is attached to Light's death note and ultimately Light himself as long as he possesses the notebook spoke.

"...."

Light remained silent. He could not talk to air in public, just because he could see and hear the creature does not mean others could as well. Although the street was quite empty, he was still not willing to risk anything.

"Hey, I'm not saying this because I'm on your side... It's just I'm always behind you so it's creeping me out.."

Light remained silent as he kept walking.

"A man has been following you"

Light stopped on his tracks as he discreetly turned his head to catch a glimpse of the man who was supposedly following him.

Sure enough, there was a man in all black clothing just following Light.

Light quickly regained his composure as he kept walking to his house.

The moment Light entered his house, he was greeted by his mother and his sister, whom he avoided in the pretense of having to study.

When Light reached his room, he carefully walked near his window and moved the curtains a little to peak out of the window. The mysterious man was still there, and after some time he finally left.

Light watched the man leave discreetly as he himself sat on his bed.

𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭.

The shinigami cackled at the state of Light.

"What are you going to do now Light?"

Light smirked in response which confused the shinigami a little.

"You'll see Ryuk... I just have to involve (Y/n) in this unfortunately.."

"Why is that?" Ryuk inquired.

"Because my plan requires a date"
