The taskforce had received a response from the second Kira which stated that the second wanted to see the original Kira.

L decided to send Light and Matsuda to check the location where they were told to meet.

The response from the second Kira was not broadcast, instead the tapes were retrieved from the station by Aizawa.

Light was now walking along the busy street with Matsuda tailing just behind him.

Light discreetly glanced around his surroundings, nothing seemed to be suspicious.

𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵...

Light and Matsuda walked around for a bit, finding absolutely nothing suspicious.

Finally they just decided to go back to the taskforce.

Unbeknownst to Light, the second Kira had already found Light, the original Kira.

Laughter and giggles can be heard as the young love birds sat on a bench together as they ate their favorite flavours of ice cream.

"Oh! So how was the investigation today?" Light's love interest asked as Light smiled at her.

"Unfortunately, we didn't find anything.." Light answered as he removed a strand of the girl's hair from her face as she ate her ice cream.

"Oh that's alright.. L told me to monitor the deaths for now.."

"(Y/n)... Can I stay over at your place tonight? If it's alright with you?" Light asked as he looked at his love interest eagerly.

You glanced at him as you spoke.

"... Sure.. Is something wrong at your place?"

"It's nothing like that... It's just that.. I wanted to accompany you.." Light laughed a little.

You giggled as you both finished your ice cream.

"Let's watch a movie?" Light asked as he comfortably sat on the couch.

It was already night time.

"Sure! I'll make some popcorn~"

Light looked at his love interest as he got up as well.

"I'll help you sweetheart" He said as he walked in the kitchen.

Your heart skipped a beat at the nickname.

You wondered why he was suddenly giving you such sweet nicknames.

Whatever the reason was, you loved it.

You cleared your throat and walked inside the kitchen where Light had already prepared the popcorn kernel.

Your heart skipped a beat.. Again.

You were in love with him, there's no denying that.

Light looked at his love interest as he smiled brightly.

"(Y/n) you can pick a movie while I make the popcorn" Light said as he started making the popcorn.

"Are you sure you don't need help?" You asked with worry.

Light chuckled as he glanced at you.

"It's just popcorn sweetheart" he said as he internally smirked.

Light stared at his love interest as they both sat on the couch with very little space between them.

The young girl intently watched the movie playing on the screen, not noticing the boy staring at her.

Subconsciously you scotted closer to Light and he instinctively wrapped his arm around your shoulder to pull you in closer.

You smiled a little as you rested your head on his shoulder.

Light's breath hitched as he quickly regained his composure and caressed your shoulder gently.

"(Y/n).."

"Hmm?"

"I love you"

"...." You looked at Light to find him looking at you with sincerity and love in his eyes.

"I mean it... I really love you (Y/n)" Light said as his grip on your shoulder remained firm.

"....... I love you too Light" you finally confessed as heat rushed your cheeks and you looked away as you were flustered.

Light's eyes sparkled and he suddenly pulled his lover into a deep passionate kiss.

As the lovers melted into their kiss, the movie seemed to fade away. All that mattered was the presence of one another.
