It's new years eve. It's new years eve and i won't be getting a new years eve kiss. Matt's been away for a game and couldn't come back until tomorrow. He tried coming back today but things just didn't work out.

I am disappointed that his work got in the way. But i'm also happy knowing he loves his job. Being a new york ranger. I know he loves hockey, and i know he's been dreaming of being in the nhl for a while so i am happy for him.

It just sucks because i do want to see him play but sometimes his games interfere with my daily life and job so i can't go see him.

When Ember walks in i'm removed from my thoughts. When he comes into view i'm surprised.

"Asher?" I look at Ember in shock.

"Hey." He says.

He comes over to me and gives me a hug. I don't hug him fully because i don't know what he's doing here.

Ember comes over to me and takes my arm.

"Let's talk." She says.

I nod at her and we go into the other room.

"What is he doing here, didn't you guys break up like forever ago?" I say looking back out to where he is.

"We did we did but we missed each other." She says smiling.

I roll my eyes. They've been having an off and on relationship for the past three years, and finally when they've been broken up for a while they rekindle. It's so odd.

She said she'd never date him again. What a big fat lie. Asher isn't the best boyfriend i'll say in the nicest way. He's tried to fight Matt i don't know how many times. Note Matt's 6"7 and he's only 5"11.

Asher's also not very nice to Ember, when they lived together he threatened to kick her out so many times. He also randomly goes through her phone and he'll take her phone for however long if he suspects she's cheating.

He's just not a good guy to sum it up. I've tried telling her that before but she just won't listen. She's had to spend the night sometimes because of the way he's reacted to some stuff. I also feel uncomfortable that's he's even here.

Ember and i were gonna throw a new years eve party and invite all our friends. We still can but i don't know how they'll feel knowing Asher's here.

"Still wanna do the party?" She asks me.

Since Matt isn't here it'll be nice seeing my friends.

"Yes." I say smiling at her.

We grab our phones and text everyone we know. Everyone says they'll be here in ten minutes.

Ember and i find all the food and set it out. We also find all the drinks in my drink stash and put those out too.

When Ember smirks at me i just know. She's a drinker when it comes to parties. So i'm assuming today she'll get drunk. Well not today tonight.

She already finds a glass and pours herself a drink. I roll my eyes and make my way to the front door. I open it so everyone can come in as they please.

I walk back to the drinks and pour myself one. Ember makes her way to my speaker and connects her phone to it. She puts music on and turns it on full blast.

I go to my bedroom and close the door. I find a nice black dress with a deep v-line. I go to my bathroom and change into it. I find black heels and wear them with it.

I go back out to Ember and a smirk appears on her face.

"Oh look at you little mrs. sexy." She says before laughing.
