Faster Than Life (MHA X Flash)

Episode 5: Blades and Lightning

Izuku Pov:

Everyone immediately started forming teams with people they knew. Everyone from Class 1A seemed to be going for Bakugo and Todoroki. Some people were considering me, they knew I have a strong quirk and I'm a quick thinker, but my quirk really isn't the most helpful in this situation.

My speed can't do much and I have no ranged attacks since I can't use my full power. That in conjunction with the huge target that's been put on me really starts to make sense why people would be avoiding me. But not everyone it seems...

"Deku, um. If it's ok with you I'd like to be on your team." Uraraka says slightly nervously before donning her usual bubbly smile. Her cheeks fleshed more red then normal. Though I can't say much because I can feel my face flushed as well.

"Of course. I was a little worried no one would come up and ask to be with me."

"We made a pretty good team before during the hero training. Plus it's better to go with people you know, right? Unless of course you don't want me." She says jokingly.

"Well, it's a good thing I want you then." I say while smiling. For some reason she immediately starts to blush and shoots back a few feet away from me.

"Um are you ok-

"YEP! I'M ALL GOOD! LET"S FOCUS ON FORMING THE REST OF OUR TEAM RIGHT?" Strange. I don't know what's up with her, but she is right. We need to focus on finding at least one more team member. Preferably two for more versatility. I think I already have a plan forming. I can do this. We can do this.

Wally Pov:

My watch beeps and Melissa and I both immediately look at each other concerned.

"Didn't you lower the settings to only alert for threats needing a top 5 hero?" She grabs my hand and I give it a reassuring squeeze.

"They need me. Whatever it is. I'll be back soon, don't worry." I try to pull away but she continues to grip my hand.

"Heh, I always worry Wally." Feeling brave I move some hair out of her face and gently cup her cheek. Her face is cute when she blushes. I lightly kiss her forehead and smile. The smile that only comes out with her.

"I promise. I'll be fine. Cheer on Izuku for me. I'll try to wrap this up-

"In a flash?" She says with a sly smirk. My entire body heats up. This girl is way too perfect.

"I was going to say quickly, but I'm digging the corniness."

"I get it from you." I linger for a moment. Leaving her never gets any easier. But this time, I know I'm coming back. For her. To her.

I speed out of the room and put my costume on. After I get to the scene I see multiple heroes all slashed up and severely injured.

"Flash!" Two voices call out. One in relief. The other with killer intent. Ingenium looks back. Pieces of his armor chipped and damaged. Stain stands in front of him. Covered in the blood of the incapacitated heroes around.

Without wasting any time I rush forward and punch Stain back sending him flying through the alleyway.

"Ingenium. I'll speed the injured heroes out of here. Fall back and-

"Flash. It's a trap. For you." I look at him confused and then hear the familiar sound of whooshing speed behind me.

"Flash. Time to die." The familiar demonic voice calls out. Zoom. Ingenium gives me a tired but determined smilie.
