Chapter 29 - Nothing Is Left

3 days has been passed since that incident, since Aashi and Aryan had left their home. Aryan was sitting in a bar, drinking whiskey, now he was looking at the empty glass of whiskey. "Do you have something stronger then this" Aryan asked him. "No matter what you drink you won't be able to forget her sir" the bartender said while cleaning a glass and Aryan looked at him in disbelief. "Is it that obvious that I'm heartbroken" Aryan said while looking down.

"Sir, I have been a bartender from last 5 years, I have seen countless people here, some come to joy their victory, some come to share their burden and the rest of people just come to have some fun, but you know what, most of the people who come here are either heartbroken or unlucky in love" the bartender served him the finest whiskey. "I'm Mike" the bartender introduced himself. 

"Aryan" Aryan also introduced himself.  "People often think that just by drinking a few glass of alcohol can make them forget about their love, but it's actually opposite" Aryan was listening him very carefully "the more you drink this thing the more you are gonna remember her, because it's a absolute lie, that drinking can make you forget about your problems, it's just give you an excuse to do stupid thing which you can't do in your sober state, so later on you can blame your drinking state for your wrongdoing" 

Aryan gave a faint smile to bartender and said "Mike your talks feels like that I'm looking at the fucking mirror, yes you're right, the more I drink this thing, the more I'm remembering her." "Was she your girlfriend or just a crush" the bartender asked "My wife, she's my wife" Aryan replied "Did she cheat on you?" he asked. "Maybe ..... maybe not" Aryan replied while gulping down the whiskey. 

"Ahh ... I got it, you're one of those people" the bartender said while looking at him in disbelief. "What do you mean?" Aryan wasn't able to understand his words and asked him. "I'm saying Sir, if you're not sure about something then please find out the truth first, because I have seen people regretting, they often come here when it's so late, because they choose to misunderstood the situation instead of clearing thing, and when the time they released their mistake, it's always too late for them" 

Aryan was listening him very carefully, like someone close to him is indicating him something, he was about to say something when his phone started ringing, he wasn't in the position to talk with anyone but looking at the screen he picked it up "Yes David" he answered being unbothered and on the other side of call, someone was furious "What the hell Aryan, you're not coming to the office from last 3 days, you know we have a meeting with investors tomorrow, you know that how important is this meeting for us yet you being total irresponsible , it wasn't expected from you, if still you don't want to come that totally fine, just bring me those files, I'll need it tomorrow and I need those files right now, you get it, fucking right know" by saying that he cut the call. 

Aryan just scoffed and started massaging his temples, "I can't even feel bad for myself" by saying that he stood up from his place and about to go out but stopped and looked at bartender and said "thanks Mike, I didn't knew that I needed someone to talk"  Aryan said and was about to go out but Mike called him from behind and said "Sir ...." but Aryan interrupted him and said "Call me Aryan, Mike" and Mike nodded and said "Aryan, I don't know why but I'm getting this weird feeling that you should talk to your wife before it's too late, remember my words buddy" Aryan nodded his head and left from there.

When Aryan reached his home to get those files he saw that someone was waiting outside of his home and when he get close he saw Veer there, When he saw Veer there, his jaw clenched.

"What the hell are you doing here" Aryan asked and after listening this familiar voice Veer looked up and found Aryan there. "Finally, finally you decided to come back here, tell me one thing Aryan, did you hit your head somewhere or what" Veer said while his eyes was showing anger. "What do you mean?" Aryan not able to get his point asked him, 

"You exactly know that what I mean, may I ask you that where the hell is your phone and why're you not picking it up?" Veer asked with a stern voice. "My phone is with me, and why the hell I'm gonna pick your phone, and for the fact I'm still not able to understand that why are you calling me when you got what you wanted all along, didn't you" Veer looked at him with confusing eyes, he wasn't able to understand that what he was trying to say. 

"What the hell are you bluffing Aryan, just say clearly what you want to say, don't speak in riddles" Veer asked him. Aryan looked at him and scoffed "Why are you here, perhaps to collect her things" he said in a bitter voice. "What are you talking about man, can you speak clearly and where the hell is Aashi" Veer asked him, looking into his eyes. 

Aryan looked at him in disbelief and said "shouldn't I ask to this question?" After listening Aryan, Veer again looked at him in disbelief and said "Look Aryan, I'm really not in the mood for your lame jokes, alright.... I really don't know that what's your problem with me or why all of sudden you're being rude but, I'm just here to return this phone of Aashi, which she forgot in my hotel room, that's the reason I was calling you like manic from last 3 days, I even visited your home time to time, but every time whenever I ringed your bell, no one was there to open it." 

While listening Veer, Aryan's jaw again clenched down "was it really necessary to rub on my face, I know she was there with you, and why are looking for her here, isn't she's with you, you got what you wanted all along, calling yourself my friend and snatching my wife behind my back, well played Veer... well played". Aryan said while clapping. After listening him Veer couldn't hold himself anymore and he grabbed Aryan's collar "What the hell are you bluffing....hmm, Where is Aashi, I'M ASKING YOU WHERE IS AASHI" Veer shouted his lungs out.

"ISN'T SHE'S WITH YOU, SINCE THE DAY SHE HAS LEFT ME" Aryan also shouted "SHE LEFT ME FOR YOU, SHE FUCKING LEFT ME FOR YOU VEER MAHESHWARI" Aryan broke into tears but this time Veer get the point that something isn't right here so he also kneeled down and asked very calmy "Aryan, I think there is a really big misunderstanding about something, can you please for god sake tell me that what the hell happened here in last few days, why the hell Aashi didn't come back to get her phone or you're not picking my call, why're you saying things like this all of sudden ...haaa" Veer was desperate to know as he wasn't getting good feeling about this.

"I saw...I saw her getting in your hotel room, she lied to me, she said that she's meeting with a client when she was meeting you" Aryan said while pointing his index finger into his chest "when I asked her, she again lied, when I asked her that she loves you she was silent, not a single word was coming out of her mouth, so I said that this marriage doesn't hold any meaning and we should get divorce, of course I don't won't to come in between you ....." Aryan couldn't complete his words when he felt a punch on his face which made a corner of his lips to bleed.

"What the hell did you say, she cheated on you, she don't love you anymore, at first I wasn't able to understand that why she was saying or doing all those things, but now I understood it all, do you know that why she came to my hotel room, do you" Veer said while grabbing his collar and glaring at him.

"She was there to return me this" ..... Veer said while showing Aryan something
