Chapter 28 - Misunderstandings

One week has passed since they had this huge argument, there was this unknown distance between them, Aashi and Aryan were having their breakfast in complete silence, none of them were talking or glancing at each other. Just when Aryan was about to start a convo with Aashi, her phone started ringing, but seeing the callers name Aashi just flipped her phone. Aryan wanted to ask but seeing Aashi's sour mood he stayed silent. Aashi's phone was continuously ringing as if her phone was gonna blow up at any moment.

Aryan couldn't hold up anymore and finally said "Aashi answer the damn phone, it's ringing continuously, it must be important, who it is" Aryan asked. "Someone you don't wanna talk about" Aashi said a little coldly and made her way to the kitchen. She packed her and Aryan's lunch and gave it to him. "I'm leaving for work" by saying that she left from there.

"This is not how I wanted us to be Aashi" Aryan said in hurtful voice "I haven't seen you smiling since that day, you don't love in anymore do you" while mummering this his eyes got teary "I have lost my Aashi, and you your smile, is it my fault too" the tear which he was holding back from so long finally came out from his eyes.

A/U POV

These days Aashi and Aryan barely talked with each other. Even though they were in the same room, it felt like that they were living with strangers as if distance between them is growing, Aryan soon felt asleep and Aashi was reading a random book, from past hour she didn't flipped a single page, she was in deep thinking, Aashi was holding Veer's pendent and after looking at pendent for few minutes she decided to call someone. "Hello!, I wanna meet you tomorrow, are you free, okay so meet me at sunshine cafe across my office" Aashi hang up the phone and lay down on bed while covering herself with duvet, unaware from the fact that Aryan was listening to the whole conversation.

Next Morning

It was a Weekend and Aryan was preparing breakfast, soon Aashi came downstairs being all ready. Aryan saw her and said "Good Morning" Aashi was a little surprised indeed because in the last few days the situation has been very awkward between them so Aashi also smiled genuinely and said "Good morning ..... Aaru" Aryan also smiled, he felt as if his old Aashi greeted him.

 "Come I have made us breakfast, it's your favorite .... pancakes with almond milk" aryan said while placing the plates on the table. "I'm sorry Aryan, I won't be able to have breakfast with you now, I have to go somewhere, it's urgent" Aashi said, there was an urgency in her voice. "If you don't mind, may I ask you where you are going" Aryan asked with hopeful voice "Umm .... Just a meeting with a client" Aashi said while biting her lower lips which was noticed by Aryan.

"Where are you going, tell me, I'll drop you" Aryan said while grabbing his cars keys "No you don't have to" Aashi said immediately "I mean, I'm not going anywhere far, just sunshine cafe, I'll be come back in a hour" Aashi said while looking here and there and Aryan just nodded his head in yes, after that Aashi left and Aryan left a sad chuckle.

"Since when did you start lying to me Aashi, you were biting your lower lips, means you were lying about meeting with a client, you don't trust me anymore" Aryan's eyes had this hurtful feeling. When Aryan was about to go upstairs he saw that Aashi's purse was there. "Maybe she forgot it" Aryan immediately ran towards exit but Aashi already left from there, "It's okay I'll give it to her" Aryan opened his cars door and made his ways to sunshine cafe.

When Aryan reached there he couldn't find Aashi anywhere so he decided to ask the worker there. "Excuse me, sorry to disturb you like this but can you tell me that you saw this girl here" Aryan said while showing her the picture of Aashi. "Yes she was here around 10 minutes ago with a very handsome guy but then they left immediately as soon as they came here. "Was it him?" Aryan said while showing her Veer's picture "Yes, It was the same guy" the girl confirmed. As soon as Aryan heard her, he was about to fall but grabbed a table near him, but he didn't want to reach a conclusion like that so he decided to call her.
