Chapter 26 - Fear of losing you

"VEER!!" Aryan was too stunned to speak something else. "Yes, Veer" Aashi said with wide smile.  As soon as Aryan saw Veer he was stunned, Veer also ran towards him and hugged him. "How are you buddy" Aryan also hugged him back and smiled "Good and you" Aryan asked.  

"How do I look?" Veer asked looking at him. "Just fine" Aryan replied and then Aashi spoke "You guys catch up.... I'll bring some coffee for you" Aryan nodded and sat on the couch. "So how come you're here" Aryan asked Veer "For business meet ..... but where were you guys ....it's like you guys just vanished .... no calls no text ... nothing at all ...."

"Yeah! I know ... you know it was just hard to manage all the things .... to start a new life.... but I'm happy to see you bro .... by the way did you just came alone or with your wife?" upon listening him Veer didn't said anything and after a while he said "I didn't get married Aryan" After listening to Veer, Aryan was left speechless.

"Then what about your girlfriend?" he asked hesitantly "Never had any" Veer replied casually "Dude, don't tell me that you're still in love with my wife" This time Aryan's voice was a little stern. "And what if I say that I'm still in love with her"

"Then it may cause some problem..... because she's my fucking wife and it has been already more then 5 years .... so fricking move on VEER " Aryan's voice stern. "So you don't love her anymore... because it has been more then 5 years of your marriage .... is that is" Veer said mocking him. 

"What rubbish you're talking about .... it doesn't matter if it is 5 years, 50 years or a 1000 years, my love for her is never going to vanish ...." Aryan said angrily "Exactly my point ..... so how can you expect me not to love her .... and for the record I'm very well aware from the fact that she isn't mine and I don't have any right to love her .... but it's not my fault that I can't move on ... it's not like that I didn't try but It's just ..... it's not possible for me anymore ..." after listening him Aryan clutched his fist. 

When there conversation was getting hyped up, Aashi came with a tray of coffee along with some snacks. "Did you guys catch up" Aashi asked with smiling face. "Yeah, I got to know so much about him today" Aryan said while glaring at Veer with a smile.

"Oh that's cool ... Veer how about you stay with us while you're here" Aashi said which made Aryan's face go pale, "Oh he would love too honey, but Veer told me that he already booked a hotel and also he's here on a business trip ... he must be busy .... aren't you Veer" Aryan said glaring at Veer with tight smile. 

"Yeah Aashi, Aryan is right ... I must take my leave now ... I'll meet you soon .... and it was nice to meet you Aryan"

Author's  POV

Aashi was sleeping peacefully in Aryan's embrace, but Aryan wasn't able to sleep at all. He looked at his wife's sleeping figure and kissed her forehead and whispered "I'm not letting you go ... nobody is going to take you away from me .... not even him" and he gave a tight hug to her  and went to sleep.

Next Day

Aryan completed his work early, he planned a perfect date for him and Aashi. When he was coming out of his office he dialed Aashi's number and said "Sweetheart, you have 30 minutes for yourself...doll up yourself because we are going on a date" he had this huge smile on his face when he informed Aashi about their date but the next second his smile dropped when he heard her "Aryan ....I'm so sorry ... I didn't knew that you were planning our date tonight ... actually I came out with Veer". "WHAT?....what the hell are you doing with him at this hour" Aryan asked ...his voice had a bit of irritation. "Actually Veer finished his work early and asked me if I have some spare time since he's alone here and was getting bore ....so .. so I agreed to show him around" "Okay' I understand ... but please come home early ....I'll wait for you" Aryan said and cut the call without hearing her response. 

Aryan's POV ......

Shit !! ....It's okay Aryan ... It's just a friendly dinner ....why're you behaving like a fucking insecure shit!!. If it's not a date then we will having a dinner together ... I'll make her favorite pasta . Aryan beta ... let's get back to work.

Aryan made dinner for him and Aashi, he decorated whole house, a table with rose petals and fragrance candles and played romantic music and the moment finally came he was waiting for, he heard the door bell ring and rushed towards  the door but when he opened the door he saw two figures .... "Veer, what the hell are you doing here" 

"Actually Aryan ... It was already dark when we were done with the shopping and Veer was insisting to drop me home" Aashi explained the situation to him  "Just perfect" his jaw clenched and fist clutched.

When Aashi and Veer entered in house they both were stunned. "Oops!, looks like I came at the wrong time" Veer said being all awkward and without wasting a single second Aryan said  "Yeah, I was about to have a romantic dinner with my wife, but now it's ruined completely, thanks to you"

"O I'm sorry" Veer said while looking at him and Aryan said "Never mind"

Next Day:-

Aryan and Aashi were having their breakfast and Aashi's phone rang, she picked the call and the next moment her face become pale, fear were visible in her eyes. "Aashi what happened, why're you so tensed, Aashi what happened I'm asking you something" Aryan asked with concerned voice "Aaru ..." she said while sobbing badly "Aa ..Aaru ..."

Aryan immediately stood up from his chair and ran towards her, he gently holds her and and said "Hey shhh ... It's alright ...whatever it is ... I'm gonna make it okay ... so just don't cry love ..... you know very well that I can see anything but tears in your eyes is something I can't bear ... so don't worry ... your Aaru is here... now stop crying and tell me what's wrong"

"I got a call from hospital, they said that the owner of this number got into an accident and it's .... it's Veer's number, I was the last person he contacted so they eventually called me, I need to see him Aryan" she said still sobbing badly. Aryan took her into embrace and said "It's okay ... I'll take you there, he will be alright, he's a tough man" Aryan said while patting her head. 

Soon they both reached to the hospital and asked about Veer. The receptionist inform them about Veer and they rushed towards surgery room. When the doctor came outside, Aashi immediately asked him "doctor ... how's Veer now .... Is he okay .... of course he has to be okay" seeing Aashi panicking like that Aryan hugged her ....."Aashi baccha ....shhh ... breath , let doctor speak first" ... I'm sorry doc... the patient inside is very close to us .... is he alright?" ..." Yes he's okay, he just had a minor injury on his head and broke a arm so we had to plaster his hand, he maybe not able to use his right arm for few months, but it will be alright with time" ...... "thanks doc .... can we see him" Aryan asked and after getting response they both went inside.

When Aashi and Aryan went inside they saw that Veer was sitting on the bed and looking outside of window, Aashi rushed towards him and hugged him tightly. Veer was stunned and looked at her. "What are you doing here Aashi and who informed you about this?"

"Are you okay Veer" her words came out more like a whisper "the hospital staff informed me. Veer also hugged her back gently and said "Yes Aashi, I'm absolutely fine.... just some minor scratches, nothing much....so don't worry" Veer reassured her. 

"Veer, are you okay" out of nowhere Aryan asked. "Yes Aryan I'm absolutely fine, thanks for coming here buddy" Veer said . "What rubbish are you taking about, of course we would come without delay if something like this going to happened" 

"Okay so that's final, I'm staying here tonight with you, till you're not getting discharge from hospital" Aashi was determined. "No Aashi, that is not possible, as you can see, I'm all right now, and if I'll need any kind of help .... then I'll ask hospital staff and you can also come and visit me in visiting hours whenever you want.... right. But for now you have to go" Veer said gently. "Aryan take her home and take care of her.... it's looks like that I'm the one who got injured but she's in pain"

Aryan nodded his head in yes and said "That's how she is .... can't see anyone in pain and suffers behalf of them, don't worry I'll take care of her" .... "Aashi let's go, we will come tomorrow and visit him again" by saying this he holds her hand and took her outside.
