Untitled Part 19

My alarm started to blare, waking me up from my blissful slumber officially ending the week off school. After a week of rest I was not ready to wake up and start school over again. I did a quick sweep of my bed to confirm that I was indeed dry. The goodnite I had chosen to wear last night was equally dry. I was somewhat thankful for that. Not only did it mean I would be less likely to have uncontrollable wetting in the future but that my stash would last that much longer for when I wanted to use it.

I find my way into the shower, letting the scalding hot water wake up my mind and I go through the list of facts I had memorized for my Bio test. "Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell...ADP pus phosphate creates ATP which the cell uses for energy" I have read that smells can help trigger memory recall and squirt an extra glob of lavender scented conditioner into the ends of my hair in hopes that anything will help in 3rd period.

After my study session I make my way back to my room, passing by Sydni. "Hey sis, thanks again for the goodnites, they really do fit great!" She said pointing at the garment hanging from her hips.

"Looks like they held up well as well" I say noticing the yellowish tint between her legs "Don't forget to tell mom so she will continue to buy them for you"

"I won't!" she said as she closed the door of the steaming bathroom and started the shower.

I moved to my room dropping the towel wrapped around my body when my door closed and moved to my dresser to start getting dressed. I quickly put on a bra and underwear before picking the towel back off the floor and standing in front of my mirror looking at my reflection as I started to dry my hair. I can still see my goodnite from last night under my bed, waiting to be put on again. My purple underwear suddenly felt uncomfortably cold and thin. Was I really ready for this?

I bet I could hide it under a skirt, no one would know, and if I need it like yesterday I won't regret it, and if I don't need it no one needs to know.

No one will know? You are kidding yourself Brittany, all it would take is one gust of wind, one accidental bump in the hall that you know is overly crowded and everyone will know.

I don't need an accidental bump for someone to notice if I have an actual accident.

The screaming match in my head continued as I pushed my panties down angrily and walked over to my bed. I could not risk it today, not on my first day back. I take a deep breath, pull up the goodnite and sigh as it comes to rest on my hip bones. I grabbed my cutest long knee length skirt and completed the outfit with a cute white blouse and blue argyle sweater finishing out my school girl outfit with a blue bow in my hair. Being satisfied with my choice in garments, making sure to bend and twirl a few times in front of the mirror a few more times, I make my way to the kitchen to make a quick breakfast.

"Mornin Bunny" My dad says before he takes a swig of coffee. "Do you want some bacon?" He offers a plate of freshly fried bacon after placing a few more pieces from the pan onto the plate.

"Thank you" I say with a smile as I pick the best piece and walk over to the pantry to find something else.

"So I have decided to make your mom happy for once today and start doing that list she made for me fifteen years ago." my dad tried to joke. "I will be changing the locks today, so before you leave make sure to grab one of those keys" He pointed with his tongs to the edge of the kitchen counter where a half dozen keys lay next to a sticky note with "new keys" in my dad's barely legible handwriting.

"Good choice dad" I say as I take the box of pop tarts from one of many broken shelfs in the house; another item on my dad's honey do list. I place sugary "breakfast items" into the toaster as I walk back over to my dad to grab another piece of bacon. "I promise I won't." I start browsing my phone waiting for the toaster to pop as my dad heads out of the room to likely eat and work in his office. The padding making contact with the counter was what broke my trance. "Did dad notice?"
