Scarlett’s POV 

Over this past month I’ve gotten to know the new member of Louri’s unit. Nicoline is very funny and also knows what it’s like to have parents from different countries. She has joined us for lunch a couple times when I have gone to visit Louri which is where I’m going right now to the base. Louri should be done with her meeting in about an hour but Nicoline will meet me at Louri’s office. “Hey there.” I hear a voice as I enter Louri’s office. “Hey, how are you doing today?” I ask, trying to be polite. I see it’s the cadet that is always flirting with me whenever I come here. “Better now that I’ve seen an angel.” He says and I want to throw up. “Where is Lieutenant Colonel Evans, I'm her wife.” I emphasize the word wife. "I know who you are, Mrs. Johansson." He says taking a step towards me. "You need to back off Cadet! I am a Lt Colonel's wife, a very protective Colonel." I swear I will go full on Natasha on this motherfucker. I just need him to take one step closer and he’ll be in range of a swift kick to the face. I dare this fucker to take a step. "Come on they don't have…" they don't finish the sentence as a chair hits him over the head knocking him out. “Are you ok?” I hear Nicoline’s voice ask. “I need Louri, where is she?” I ask. “With the General, the meeting is running late.” She says. “Thank you.” I say and she nods and says something about staying to wait for the MP’s and I run to the General’s office and just run in.  

Louri’s POV

“MA’AM YOU CAN’T GO IN THERE!!” We hear the General's secretary yell before Scarlett comes running into the room. “Mrs. Johansson, you better have a good reason for this interruption.” The General says but he sits back  down when Scarlett gives him a look, oh he’s scared. “I’m sure my wife wouldn’t come in here without good reason sir.” I tell him. “Can we talk in private?” She asks. “Yeah I just need to finish…” She cuts me off. “No Louri, now please.” She says and she looks like she’s trying to hold back tears. I look to the General for permission and he nods. “Yeah come on.” I salute and thank the General before leading Scarlett out and I look across the base and see my office is surrounded by MP’s. “What the hell?” I ask. “Scarlett what’s happening?” I ask confused. “I was in your office waiting for you and you know that Cadet that’s always flirting with me?” She asks. “Morrison, you said I wasn’t allowed to beat his ass.” I say. “Well he was in your office and he started flirting and it made me want to throw up, but it got worse.” She says I really don’t like where this is going. “Scarlett did he?” I ask hesitantly. “He tried but Jensen hit him with a chair.” She says. “Can I beat his ass now?” I ask. “You’d get in trouble.” She tells me. “Well looks like I’m going to get in trouble.” I say. 

No one’s POV

Louri makes her way to her office as she sees the MPs bringing out cadet Morrison. “HEY! You tried to assault my wife!” She yells, getting their attention. “Nothing happened!” He says just before Louri’s fist makes contact with his jaw breaking it then her boot to his ribs but she is held back by Papa Sherman. “Let me go!” She shouts. “Calm down Marine!” He orders. “He tried to.” She says. “I know she just came and got me to stop you from ruining your career.” He says as he keeps a very angry Louri from doing anything else. “Ok ok.” She gives up and he directs her to his office where Scarlett is waiting for her. “Does your hand hurt?” Scarlett asks, grabbing her wife's hand to make sure she didn’t hurt herself when she punched the cadet with full force. “A little, are you ok?” Louri checks. “Yes I’m ok, I was going to go full Natasha on him but I didn’t have to because Nicoline showed up and hit him with a chair.” Scarlett says. “Good because if he hurt you I’d have to kill him.” Louri says. “Orange isn’t your color.” Scarlett jokes. “I would do well in prison.” Louri laughs. “Let’s not test that, yeah?” Scarlett tells her wife. “Let’s go home, the MPs are going to want your statement first.” Louri says.

Scarlett’s POV

I told that cadet Louri was protective and she just proved my point when she broke his jaw. “Are you going to get in trouble?” I ask Louri as we get in her truck since I took an Uber. “Honestly I don’t know.” She sighs. “You aren’t going to lose your job right?” I ask. “Oh no, the General is far too scared of you to fire me.” She laughs. “Louri, I'm serious.” I say. “No babe, I don’t think I will.” She says and laces her free hand in mine as we drive back to the house. “Given the circumstances of why I did what I did, I don’t think I will lose my job.” She speaks up. “Good because you are a good Marine.” I tell her. “I do my best.” She says.
