September 15th 2022

Scarlett’s POV

“It’s so good to hear your voice.” I tell her. “It’s good to hear yours too Baby. I really miss you and the kids.” Louri says. “LOURI HIDE ME!!” I hear Greg yell and see him run past the screen. “I’ll lock the pod door.” Louri sighs and stands up and as she walks to the door I can see all the drawings from the girls on her walls. “Now stay there I’m talking to Scarlett and it’s our anniversary.” Louri says and closes the door to the office that is connected to her pod before laying on her cot. “Sorry about him, he probably got caught in the middle of setting up a prank.” She says, making me laugh. “You look good” I tell her. “Me? Have you looked in a mirror? Gorgeous!” She says making a chef's kiss gesture. “You’re a dork.” I chuckle, shaking my head a little. “Maybe so, but I’ve been your dork legally for eight years today.” She says and I nod. “That is very true.” I say. “It took us six years till we had an actual wedding.” I say. “Yeah and Devon was screaming ‘Mama’s pussy got out!’ Thanks to my brother.” Louri groans. “That’s funny now, it was mortifying at the time.” I say and she nods. “I remember that.” I hear Greg say as he comes out of the office. “I’m going to get ready for bed so you can have the office.” He says and Louri thanks him before getting up and going into the office, closing the door behind her. 

Louri’s POV

“Two and a half months.” Scarlett says. “That feels like a lifetime.” I tell her. “You have been away for longer deployments, you can do this. We can do this.” She says. “I know it’s late there and I have to get home.” She continues. “I really don’t want to hang up yet.” I tell her. “You need your sleep so you can be at your best during the day.” She tells me. “Ok you’re right, give my love to the kids.” I say. “I will, I love you Louri.” She says. “I love you too Scarlett.” I tell her. “Try and call again soon. Goodnight Baby.” She tells me and I wish her goodnight as well before we end the call. “Who am I hiding you from?” I ask Greg when I enter the main area of the pod where the cots are. “Well.” He says. “You know how I had twenty cans of silly string to use?” He asks and I nod. I managed to finally use them today. Let's just say Jensen and Mullins are not happy with me.” He says. “You used all twenty cans?” I ask and he nods. “You’ve lost it.” I laugh out. “I thought you would use one or two. I get that the cans aren’t that big but using twenty. Dude.” I say. “I know and they’re scary, especially Jensen. She started to scream in Danish.” He says as he unclips his prosthetic from his leg. “You are going to have to beg for them to forgive you.” I tell him and he nods. “You know maybe twenty cans was a little too much.” He says. “Yes it was. Get some sleep, I'll back you up tomorrow when you beg for forgiveness.” I tell him. “Thanks Lor.” He says. “I feel slightly responsible, I introduced Devon to silly string and it was from him so you know.” I say. 

September 16th 2022

Today Greg is going to try and beg for forgiveness from Jensen and Mullins and I wished him luck. We also have today off so I have decided to surprise Scarlett with another call that should make her happy and it’s earlier in the day here so it’s about mid morning for her. 

Devon’s POV

Last night we all fell asleep in the big bed in Mama and Mommy’s room while watching Inside Out. I wake up to Mommy’s phone ringing but Mommy looks really happy sleeping so I check her phone and I see Mama’s face on the screen calling on facetime. So I answer it. “Shhh they’re sleeping.” I tell Mama and she nods. “Are you in Mommy and I’s room?” She asks. “Yeah we fell asleep watching a movie and I don’t think Mommy wanted to be alone.” I tell Mama. “Oh, well that’s nice of you to keep Mommy company so she won’t be lonely.” She says. “Devon, who are you talking to? Did you answer my phone?” I hear Mommy ask from behind me. “It’s Mama, you said I am allowed to answer if it’s Mama.” I tell her and she sits up. “Hey Baby, sorry if we woke you.” Mama says to Mommy, I don’t know why they call each other that because they aren’t babies. Adults are very weird. “What’s with the face Bubs?” Mommy asks me. “Why do you and Mama call each other baby? You’re adults, Thomas is a baby.” I say still very confused. “It’s just a nickname.” Mama shrugs. 

Scarlett’s POV

I woke up to the sound of Devon talking to someone I can’t quite make out who it is but then he tells me it’s Louri and it makes sense why he answered the phone. It was very cute when he got confused by Louri calling me baby. “I hear Mama.” Louisa says and crawls over me since Devon is on the other side of me. “Hey Lou Lou.” Louri says with a smile. “Hi Mama! Maya, wake up Mama’s on the phone!” Louisa yells at her sister which wakes Thomas, who is in the bassinet next to the bed. “Excuse me, I've got to get your brother.” I say lifting Louisa off me tickling her as I do. “Why are you so loud? I am trying to sleep.” Maya complains, that is Louri’s child. “Mama’s on the phone sissy.” Louisa says and Maya jumps up from her spot landing on Devon and him being the amazing big brother he is doesn’t get mad at her for it. “Hi sweetie, you want to say hi to Mama?” I coo as I pick Thomas up from his bassinet. We end up talking for a few hours but Louri tells us there will be a surprise coming next month before she has to go. I’m not surprised she likes to send them little things she finds in the town markets that made her think of them so I’m not surprised that she’s sending something.
