Scarlett’s POV

We are going up to the cabin for the holiday. This will be the first time the kids have been here. We haven’t been here since our honeymoon. We will be hosting a fourth of july party since the cabin’s back yard is bigger than the one at the house. Also you can’t hear any fireworks out here. So that is good for Louri. None of the cast better bring any fireworks or I will unleash my inner natasha. “Are we there yet?” Devon asks for the millionth time. “Almost, little Marine, we just turned onto the road leading to the cabin.” Louri tells him. “Good because Gizmo doesn’t like his cat seatbelt.” He says and I look back and see Gizmo sleeping just fine. “Babe, I just realized we don’t have a crib for Thomas at the cabin.” I say as we pull into the driveway. “Greg will stop by the house and pick up the crib I made from my workshop before him and his family and they will bring it up later today.” She says. “Good, I was worried for a second.” I tell her. “Don’t worry babe I’ve got it covered.” She says.

We have put all the bags in the respective rooms. The girls insist on sharing one saying it’s a twin thing and I don’t want to argue with  two four year olds. I’m in the kitchen making  lunch. Luckily we ordered groceries ahead of time all we had to do was pick them up on our way up here. As I finish up making lunch I hear a car pull up and that must be Greg since everyone will be coming on the fourth. “I’ve got it.” My wife calls out from the living room. “UNCLE GREGGY!! AUNTIE GRACE!!” Maya squeals when he walks in. The nice thing about the main  floor is the open layout and you can see everything. Maya yelling to Greg gets Devon and Louisa’s attention and they run at him as well it’s cute how much they love their aunts and uncles.

Louri’s POV

“Hey thanks for picking it up.” I tell Greg as I take the crib from here. “It’s a little weird being here again.” He says sadly. “I know. I had a breakdown on one of the days of my honeymoon.” I admit. “Are the pictures still in the office?” He asks as we go put the crib upstairs and I nod knowing what picture he is talking about; Jessica and I’s engagement photos. “Scarlett said to keep them. She said it’s important to remember the good times I had with Jessica.” I smile at how amazing my wife is. “Come on, let's head back down before the kids come for us.” Greg says, making me laugh and nod. “I left for less then ten minutes.” I laugh seeing the pillow fort that the kids, Scarlett and Grace are making. “You two aren’t the only ones who enjoy acting like children at times.” I smile at my wife’s comment. “Why the fort though? Are we having a movie marathon?” I ask. “Yes!!” Maya says enthusiastically. “I guess that means we will need snacks.” And head to the kitchen but Scarlett stops me before I can make the popcorn. “Lunch first.” She  says. “Devon, can you set  the table please so we can have lunch?” Scarlett calls our eldest and he does as he’s told. 

We finish lunch and Grace and Greg entertain the kids as Scarlett and I get the snacks ready. “You know it’s going to be impossible to  get them to sleep.” Scarlett says, looking at the candies. “You and I both know that Greg and I will eat most of those.” I say and she laughs nodding her head. “So where is your little one?” I ask Greg and Grace as we enter the living room. “With my parents  they have been annoying us about how they never spend time with her.” Grace says with an eye roll. “Ok so what are we watching first?” I ask. “Beauty and the Beast.” Devon says proudly. “Ok sounds good.” I say and open up the disney plus app and get the movie playing.
