Scarlett's POV

Yesterday was a lot of fun. After we got home Louri restocked the escalade with silly string cans like the giant child she is. I wake up with my head on Louri's chest as usual but with Liz attached to my back so I am stuck in the middle of the two. There really is no convincing Liz to use a guest room which also means no time alone with Louri. "My arm is trapped under Lizzie." Louri says in her raspy morning voice. "Yeah well I'm trapped under her leg." I say lifting the blanket showing Liz's leg draped over my legs. "I have an idea." Louri smirks. "What's that?" I ask. "Watch this." She says. "Hey Liz I've got silly string!" Louri calls out and gets a pillow to the face. "You woke up and chose violence." Louri gasps. "I'm not awake. And Scarlett is my shield." Liz grumbles. "Damn using my wife against me is rude." Louri says. "But seriously Liz I have to get Devon ready for school and the girls for daycare." Louri says. "Fine but I get Scarlett, she's warm." Lizzie says. "Nope I have to feed Thomas." I say. "Wait, why do the girls have to go to daycare if I'm here? I don't have anything scheduled for today." Liz says sitting up. "That actually is a good point." I say. "Yeah I have those." Lizzie says with a grin. "I'll take care of the girls while you and Louri are at work. I know that you take Thomas with you since he's still little and Devon will be at school. The twins and I can have a girls day." Lizzie says. "They will love that." Louri says. "Ok we've got a plan, let's go troops." Louri says in a goofy voice. "The CO has spoken." Lizzie says. "Ha nice of you to say that Liz but we all know Scarlett is in charge." Louri says. "No, we are partners in this. I just make adult decisions." I say. "Very true." Louri laughs. "Little Marine time to get up." Louri says heading to his room. "I'll make breakfast." Liz says. "You don't have to." I tell her. "I know but it makes me feel helpful." She says and I nod and make my way to the nursery and see Thomas is staring at his mobile above his crib. "Good morning sweet heart." I say picking him up and getting him ready for the day. "LIZZIE! JESUS!!" Louri shrieks. "Sorry!" Lizzie yells and runs back downstairs. "What just happened?" I ask walking into the master bedroom and see Louri with a towel covering her. "Lizzie saw my bare ass." Louri says. "She's a dead woman. Only I get to see that ass." I say possessively as Louri gets dressed. "No killing Lizzie. She was just trying to tell me breakfast was ready." She says. "Fine but this." I say grabbing her ass through her fatigues. "Is mine." I growl. "Yes ma'am." Louri gulps.

"Elizabeth." I say is a creepy sing song voice as I set Thomas in his high chair. "I didn't mean to see her ass which is very nice but it was an accedent." Lizzie rambles. "What did I say about killing?" Louri says picking me up. "LOURI!" I squeal as I am put over her shoulder. "Your shoulder! Be careful!" I scold. "You're on my good shoulder." She says. "Devon save Mommy." I say when I see him on the couch. "Mama you have to put Mommy down or I call Grandpa Sherman." Devon says and Louri sets me down. "I see how it is ok. You like Mommy more." Louri pouts. "No I don't." Devon says ouch. "Sorry Mommy but Mama is my big Marine." He says hugging her waist. "I think you hurt mommy's feelings." Louri tells him. "I love you both equally just like you love us." He says. "Ok well When you put it that way." I say and bend down to kiss him on the head. "So I didn't hurt your feelings Mommy?" He asks. "No sweets you didn't hurt my feelings." I say. "Now hurry up you have school and Mama has her first day back at work." I tell him. "I'm ready Mama is just slow." He smiles. "Oh I am huh?" She says and gets in what she calls 'tickle monster position' and starts chasing Devon. "Are you mad at me?" Lizzie asks. "No Liz but I couldn't resist messing with you." I tell her before we hear a loud laugh. "Y you aren't slow!!" Devon giggles as Louri tickles him. "Much better." Louri says and kisses his head. "Come on little marine to the truck time for school." Louri tells him. "Bye babe have a good day." She says giving me a kiss. "Bye Liz." She says giving her a wave. "Have a good day." Liz and I say at the same time as her and Devon leave. "Do I have to go in today?" I whine sitting on the barstool next to Thomas's high chair. "Are you like this every morning?" Liz asks with a chuckle. "Only before coffee." I say as I sip my coffee moaning at the taste and Liz raises an eyebrow at me. "What he's on formula now I can have all the coffee I want don't judge." I say and she just shakes her head at me before a little four year old climbs into my lap. "Well good morning." I say not able to see her face and she has matching pjs with her sister which were Louri's idea yes sometimes I can't tell them apart unless I see their face or hear there voice. "Good morning." Maya says looking up at me with those sapphire eyes she got from her Mama. "Good morning sweetie where is your sister?" I ask since it's normally Louisa who comes down first and then Liz stumbles a little. "Found her." Liz laughs as she lifts Louisa who I assume ran into Liz's legs. "Where Mama?" Lousia asks definitely Louri is her favorite but I'm Maya's so I guess it works out. "She goes back to work today hon." I tell her. "NO!" Louisa screams and starts to panic. "Whoa what's wrong?" I ask. "Mama get wurt at work." She cries. "I WANT MAMA!" She cries. "Sissy Mama only get hurt when she go away for work." Maya says trying to calm her sister. "No I need Mama!" She sobs and starts to hit Lizzie's chest as she tries to jump out of her arms. "Here I'll call Louri." Liz says and I nod as she hands me Louisa and her sister is quick to give her a hug.

Louri's POV

"Ok be good fir your teachers." I say hugging Devon before he goes into the building and my phone rings as I watch him walk in. "What Liz? Whoa is someone crying?" I ask. "Louisa found out you are going to the base and is freaking out Maya being the amazing sister she is is helping Scarlett calm her is there anyway you can work from home I know I was gooing to have a aunt day with them but Louisa's reaction broke my heart and I could see it's hurting Scarlett too." Liz says. "Put me on video call and give it to Louisa." I say. "Louisa look it's Mama." I hear Liz say and I see Maya is hugging her sister ok the bond they have is cute. "Louisa look at me." I say softly sitting in the drivers seat. "Mama come home!" She cries. "How about this you come to work with me and you can make sure I'm ok?" I say and she nods furiously. "Ok I have to hang up now so I can make another call but I'm on my way ok." I say. "Otay." She sniffles and I hang up and call Kate. "Wow yeah we can hold the fort down for one day." Kate says after I explain everything. "Thanks Kate it means a lot." I say. "Of course there's not much for Scarlett to do today anyway." She says.

Scarlett's POV

My heart broke when Louisa panicked she is so close with Louri and the fact that she got scared that Louri would get hurt just broke my heart more. "Girls and little man. We are all going to the base you too Liz." Louri says. "Louri I have to work." Scarlett says. "Don't be mad but I called Kate and told her what happened and she said there isn't really much for you to do today and that they can hold down the fort." Louri says. "I'm not mad wait were you driving when you did?" I ask since she hasn't driven while on the phone since the accedent a few years ago. "Yeah I was holy shit Scar I did it without a panic attack." She says proudly. "I'm proud of you baby." I tell her.
