(Sorry this one took so long I was hit by a huge case of writers block with this battle and also loads of technical problems, also the keita and Riku characters and picture belong to friend Stonerawks )

A month later-

After Kaze and I had challenged the first team we ate at a restaurant where I learned that food here tasted as it did in real life, and that chefs made huge amounts of money and some of the wealthiest people in the game were restaurant owners or people with high cooking skills.

Training with master Trian was tough and each time pushed my limits. In between our meetings he gave me task that could be anything from killing a near impossible to catch animal with my claws without using skills, or finding and challenging a specific player, or going to a certain place to kill a creature. I was never allowed to fast travel anywhere and had to fight each enemy I came across, no running or sneaking by it. However I could not say it wasn't effective as I had rose to
level 48
As master Trian suggested I used skill points to master and get better with what I already had including mastering the dream blade which included a passive skill for it, so that as long as it was touching an enemy they couldn't use skills. However I also unlocked some new skills including
dark portal- allows you to open portals that you can hold open but they slowly drain mana. Anything that goes in one comes out of the other. If only one is open anything that goes into it will vanish until a new one is opened.

Dark flares- small nearly costless dark blast with no cool down time that do light damage and can be fired nearly endlessly.

Dark beam- fires a concentrated beam from your finger tips that pierces armor as well as the target.

And I upgraded dark bind to

Black hand- a black shadowy hand grabs the target, the shadowy hand can be controlled and can do crushing damage or be used to attack or deflect.

It's sort of like Kaze's wind fist ability but it's more versatile.

Kaze had leveled up as well, earning more powerful wind and air abilities including a skill that let him control oxygen and basically suffocate an opponent. With these new upgrades Kaze and I had systematically beaten every ranked team. We started at the bottom and beat them all one by one rather than skipping around and challenging higher up teams to gain rank faster like other teams did. We are now ranked number one and are unbeaten and are set to have a battle with the champions soon. Kaze seemed to have amped up his training when we reached number one, as he was a higher level seemingly every day.

When I asked master Trian if this kind of growth was possible for me he responded, "you are already much more powerful than you know."

I asked master Trian to elaborate but he refused to speak of it anymore.

Finally it became time to fight the champions. As usual I meet Kaze by the arena.
He was standing and leaning against the arena.
"Ready Kaze?"
He stepped forward and nodded, "I'm ready".
We both entered the arena to see two others standing across from us.

One was sitting. He had silver hair and was wearing brown outer clothing with a black shirt with blue sleeves, green under clothes, and a grey belt. He had a katana leaning against him. He looked as if he was focused on something else or didn't want to be there. The name above his head was Keita
Beside Keita was someone else. He had red hair and a mask type thing. He wore layers of clothing the outermost of which was blue with brown under it then white and finally red. He didn't seem to have a weapon with him, and the name above his head read as Riku.

Another thing I learned during the time we ranked up, was that people watched the important matches and some even gambled on them, and to make it more exciting there was an announcer guy who basically tries to hype up the match before it starts.
