Chapter 24

After eating with Kaze I decided to go and speak to master Trian. If anyone would have helpful advice maybe it would be him.

As I got to his shop I noticed the door was cracked and a window smashed. I walked in with my claws equipped ready for anything.
A. few of Aaron's men were laying unconscious on the floor. They wore armor with the same strange mark that he wore.
I rushed in looking for master Trian wondering if he had been attacked.
He was cornered in the back with three people standing in front of him.
The person on the very left had a large two handed sword, the one in the middle had a sword and shield while the one on the right had two small swords.

The One in the middle spoke up, "we know he trains here! Tell us where he is!"

Master Trian simply laughed and said, "you should put those down before you get hurt"
"You can't get us all old man"

"Oh I think I can", he lunged toward the three people and quickly disarmed the one on the very left who had the two handed sword and head butted him knocking him down but held onto the sword.

The one with two small swords threw one like a thriving knife but master Trian caught it with his free hand and threw the large two handed sword like a spear sticking it in right into the guy's chest and pinning him against the wall.

The sword and shield guy held his shield up, but master Trian ripped it away quickly then with amazing speed stabbed the guy rapidly with the small sword. The guy tried t use his own sword to slice at Trian but he countered by grabbed the arm that he held the sword with and snapped it breaking it then grabbed him by the head and smashed his face into a wall actually breaking a hole into it.

Master Trian then spun around and threw the small sword at the guy on the very left who was slowly getting up from the head butt and the small sword hit him directly in the neck.

Master Trian turned and looked directly at me, "about time! Your behind on your training."

I was unsure what to say so I scratched my head and simply asked, "you are still going to train me after these people tried to attack you?"

He laughed and said, "I'm actually glad they did. I got at least a brief workout from it. I assume you think having the legion after you will excuse from training. Sorry but no it doesn't."

"What if they continue attacking one of us might get hurt or killed., and how did you know about the legion?"

He laughed and said, "I know a lot. And your right even though I doubt they could kill you the assassins might. I can tell your marked. So, from now on I'll train you indirectly. I'll send you messages telling you what to do."

I had many more questions like how he knew I was marked but I knew he wouldn't tell me so I went on doing the thing he told me to do in his messages.

From that time on I started living like a traveler. I moved from place to place and from city to city. My plan was to keep a low profile until I became a distant memory. Hopefully with time Aaron and his guild would forget about me and maybe so would the assassin guild happy dagger. I stayed nights in ruins or dungeons that I found in the day and cleared out the enemies. Never staying anywhere to long.

Five months later...

It had been five months since I started living off the grid. Clearing out things like ruins during the day gave me enough loot and gold as well as a place to sleep. However I still had to buy things like health potions and supplies so I did occasionally go to small villages or cities. Today I happened to be in the north west section of the map and not far from a city. It was too large to be called a village but not as large as the major cities.
