Down in the mine chapter 6

I selected quest then selected request and saw the list of the mayors missions. I selected the one called Down in the mine

I selected read quest description.
All the miners have been found brutally murdered. The owner of the mine went to investigate and is now missing. Find out what is going on and put a stop to it.

I closed the menu and enjo appeared. "Hi enjo'' I said.

"Hello" he said, "I'm sure you noticed the loot list had one time only loot on it. Well one time only loot is an object that is the only one in the game. That makes it rare and it is wise to get it quickly, but be cautious it is likely to be hard to get."

"Well thanks for the clarification enjo"

"Anytime" he said as he vanished.

I then walked to the mine site. It was in a clearing by a distant volcano.

The ground was littered with ash and soot. Metal rods seemed to be layed around randomly. I walked to the mine entrance which was a slanted wooden door that lead to a downward tunnel. I walked down the tunnel for a seemingly long time. It then lead to a ladder right next to an elevator type thing. I climbed down the ladder and looked around. There were tunnels going in three directions. One that went straight ahead as well as one to the right and left of me. I walked straight barely able to see through the darkness. As I walked I saw a light getting closer. I approached it and saw that it was a torch on the wall. Under it was a corpse. His belly ripped open and his intestines and stomach in shreds beside him. I gagged from the smell.

"God they made this realistic."

I selected search and took out a map of the mine and a journal. I looked at the map. It showed all the different floors of the mine and ladders and veins of metal ore. I then saw that in the far corner of the deepest floor next to the marking for a ladder was a red X marked across it and words scribbled
Do not enter or it will awaken

I sighed and said "well isn't that generic."

I then looked at the journal and skimmed through it. I stopped when I noticed it mention the deepest layer.

It read The new layer is rich in many metals. However there are many noises coming from it and some are afraid. The boss says it is just paranoia and if we want pay we will keep mining.
Next day
Seven people went missing today. Just before they went missing we heard a roar and the ground shook. The boss said it was probably the volcano but we knew better. I fear we've disturbed something that shouldn't be awake.
Next day
Everyone is dead. I'm running for my life. Its everywhere. It knows the mine better than I do. No one has been able to make a weapon pierce it. Maybe it can be melted or maybe bringing it to the surface will help. I feel the ground shaking. It is close. Goodbye

"Well that's not good" I referenced the map to make my way to the ladder so I could go to the next floor down. I grabbed the torch and took it with me. As I got to the ladder I saw steel ore around me. I picked it all up. I then climbed down the ladder to find another body. The legs were gone. I searched and saw a page of writing. I selected read.
I did it. I pierced it with my sword. It has holes in its armor but they move. It must be taken to the surface where it can be seen.

"That's helpful" I said. I continued walking and found a chest of metal ingots. I picked them all up without looking at them. I kept walking and picked up all the metals I came across. I got to the next floor down and it was much darker. Without the torch I would have been completly blinded. The torch barely burned it seemed like it would go out at any time. I quickly walked to the next ladder hoping to find only stopping to quickly grab metal ore and ingots.

I finally got to the last ladder to the deepest floor. There were many different metal ores and ingots every where. There was another dead body this one was sliced completly down the middle. I walked up to it and saw that in its inventory was a note and a locked item. I read the note.
To who reads this. If your reading this the beast has killed me. I am the owner of the mine and as I am lost I know my death is near. This monster must be slain for the death it has caused. To ensure this I leave the title and ownership of this mine and all money it brings in to who ever kills this beast. To help I've left a chest of weapons by the ladder as well as this message. To kill the beast get it into light. It will not be easy but it will help. Its armor does have gaps but you need to see them. To help I've placed torches by the ladder to the beast. I've also had a mechanism put up so that if you put the torches up on the wall holders. They will lift up to the ceiling and provide light where the creature can't reach them.

As I looked I realized this floor had no tunnels it was wide open. I walked to the ladder to the where the beast was. There was a chest beside it. I opened it and inside was a variety of weapons. As I took them I noticed a gautlet with blades coming from the fingers. It provided armor as well as weapon. I equiped it and moved my hands around.

"I wish I had these when I fought the dragons."

I then saw a stack of torches beside the chest. I took them and attached them to the wall holders. I saw the lever to raise them beside the ladder. I decided to only raise them when I got the beast to come up here. I then took a deep breath before climbing down the ladder.
