Chapter 27 Dragon slayer/Upgrades

(Hey guys. Sorry this chapter isn't so good and that it's  kinda just filler. I've been really sick. I mean I sneezed and bloody stuff came out. But don't worry the next chapters will be better and get the story moving. Also I didn't get to do a lot of revision so sorry for any typos and grammar mistakes.)

Later that day....

Meet me outside of the training arena. Your team has a new mission. - Drek

I quickly made my way to the meeting point where Solar, Lunar, and Cry were waiting.

"Good your all here. I have a test for you guys. There is a cave near the mountains to the north. Gate has been asked to clear it of enemies and the teachers decided to make it sort of a competition to see who has the stronger students. Well I'm confident your the best here. So I'm sending you as a team. Three birds with one rock so to speak. I get to test you, complete a request, and prove our superiority all at once. Don't fail me."

"We'll be done in time for dinner", solar said seemingly pumped up.

After a little time of speaking Drek left.

  "Well let's go! We can strategize when we get there." Solar said obviously excited.

We walked for a while with varying talks and stories including Solar's hopes for this mission.
"I hope I get to use my nunchucks. I mean I haven't gotten to use them very much. Maybe I'll run up on a humanoid enemy that I can use them on. Break out my inner Kung fu master."

Lunar laughed and cry didn't really seem to say anything though I noticed something about her that I was confused about. Strapped to her waist was a chakram very similar looking to Kaze's, and from want I knew they were legendary meaning there was only one set. Did she kill him and take them like she tried to do to take my dream blade?

My thoughts were interrupted by, "We're here."

In front of us was a large cave opening leading into a mountain.
     We walked in cautiously each of us gripping our weapons, except me since I always wore them.

  The cave split into two paths one leading up and the other leading down.

"Ok, Kane and I will head up this way. Cry and Solar you guys head down there."

Solar objected, "why do I have to go with her?!"

Lunar responded with, "because your immune to fire. It won't hurt you if her arrows get close to you or if she needs to use some of her fire spells."

Solar just sighed, "fine"

"So pleased that I have your approval. Let's go.", Cry said as she started to walk down the path and he followed.

Lunar started to walk up the path and I followed.

"So Kane, why did it seem like you wanted to kill someone earlier? I noticed you looked angry."

"I think cry might have hurt or stolen from one of my friends."

"Really what makes you say that?"

"She has one of his weapons, and it's a legendary so there is only one."

"I see"

I noticed a glyph on the ground in front of Lunar ,so I quickly pulled her back before she stepped in them.

"What are you doing?"

"You almost set off a glyph."

I then activated dark flare, the weakest and nearly costless attack spell and hit the glyph setting it off while we were out of range. It exploded into a burst of lightning and set off a chain reaction of glyphs around it which if we had stepped on it would have either extremely hurt or killed us.
