Strength ~An Amourshipping Story

Chapter 1: New Day

Serena has just moved from the Kalos region to the Kanto region and is attending a Pokémon school, starting today.

SERENA: Finally, no Fletchling waking me up every morning... It also means no Rhyhorn racing practice! Moving here to Kanto does have its perks, I guess.

Serena gets up and changes out of her pajamas. She then rummages around her purse for her Poké Balls. When she finds the right one, she takes it out.

SERENA: Come out, Fennekin!

The capsule opens and Fennekin the fire types forms in a white haze.

FENNEKIN: Fenne! Fen Fennekin! (Good morning!)

SERENA: Well, today is our first day at Pokémon school. It's bound to be great, we're going to meet so many new people! We might even have a class where we get to catch another Pokémon, and get a new partner!

Serena picks Fennekin up and carries it downstairs. Grace, Serena's mother, has already prepared breakfast for her daughter: pancakes with bacon and eggs!

SERENA: *Smiles* Looks great, mom! A great breakfast to start off a great day!

GRACE: You should be leaving in about 30 minutes, so finish your breakfast and don't be late for your new school. Have fun and makes some new friends!

SERENA: Will do! Right, Fennekin?

FENNEKIN: Fen! Fen Fennekin! (Of course!)

Serena packs her bag and slings it over her shoulder. She picks Fennekin back up after feeding her.

SERENA: *Waves back to Grace* Bye, Mom! *Closes the door behind her*

Running towards the school grounds, Serena smiles to think about all the new people she will meet at school.

SERENA: *Thinks* Although, there most likely WILL be some jerks in the classes, no matter which class I'm in. Oh well. Hopefully, I run into someone who could show me around soo-

Before she finishes her thought, Serena bumps into someone on the way and falls down.

SERENA: Ow, ow, owww...

GIRL: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there, I was rushing towards class! *Helps Serena back up on her feet*

SERENA: No, it's also my fault for not looking where I was going. You shouldn't be sorry! *Smiles sincerely*

DAWN: Hi, I'm Dawn. Nice to meet you! *Sends out a Piplup* And this is Piplup! He was my first starter!

SERENA: And I'm Serena! Nice to meet you, Dawn, Piplup! This little one in my arms is Fennekin! *Fennekin purrs*

DAWN: Why don't I show you around the school? I'd be happy to give you a tour, you seem new here, so a look around wouldn't do any harm. I can also introduce you to some of my friends, if that's ok with you.

SERENA: *Thinks* Just my luck! *Says* Yeah, thanks, that would be real nice of you!
