Strength ~An Amourshipping Story

Chapter 3: Impression

Last time, Dawn introduced Serena to all of her friends, including May, Barry, Clemont, and finally, Ash. We left off when Ash finished introducing himself.

SERENA: Hello, everyone! It's nice to meet all of you! *Directs this mostly to Ash*

ASH: *Scratches back of head and grins nervously* Same to you, Serena!

DAWN, MAY, BARRY, CLEMONT: *Stares at two* Hmmmm...

SERENA, ASH: *Both blush* What? Why are you giving us that look?

DAWN, MAY, BARRY, CLEMONT: ... oh, nothing!

ASH: Well, school's starting, so let's get out of here.

May's Bulbasaur lowers everyone back down again, and the group starts walking towards the school entrance.

CLEMONT: Since not many people attend Pokémon Academy, they're only two separate classes. Chances are, most of us will be in the same one.

SERENA: That's great!

The group walks toward the class charts. Sure enough, all of them were in Class 2.

SERENA: Uh, just wondering. Who's Paul and Calem?

MAY: Well, Calem's a bit quiet, so no one really knows how he is really like. He mostly keeps to himself. On the other hand, Pau-

BARRY: *Interrupts* Paul's so big-headed!

EVERYONE: *Sweat drop* And you're not?

DAWN: Nevertheless, Barry's right. Paul's the biggest jerk around, and he brushes most people off anyways. I would stay away from him if I were you.

The group continues walking down the hall towards their classroom. On the way, an on-the-loose Arcanine runs straight for them, a random kid (most likely its owner) running after it.

STUDENT: Arcanine, come back! Hey you guys, watch out!

However, the large Arcanine suddenly turns and body slams into Serena, sending her sprawling. The Arcanine continues to run towards the girl on the ground.

STUDENT: No, Arcanine! Please, don't!

EVERYONE: Serena!

MAY: Serena, you gotta get out of the way, and fast!

But Serena doesn't respond, and continues to lie on the ground. Her head hit the floor and she goes out for a second, and, unable to move, the rampaging Pokémon charges. Then, Ash tackles the wild beast's side, slowing it down. Everyone gasps, then nods and jumps on the Arcanine to keep it from moving any further. By that time, Serena looks up.

SERENA: Wha- What just happened? My vision blacked out for a minute...

STUDENT: *Holds out Poké ball to return Arcanine* Return! Arceus, I'm so sorry about that, my Arcanine went out of control during training! Are you alright?!

Everyone runs to Serena's side and asks her if she's fine. Then, Ash tells everyone to step back and give her some space. He then offers his hand to Serena and smiles. Serena hesitantly accepts his help and is hoisted back up.

SERENA: *Blushes a little and thinks* Ash IS kind of cute, I guess...

ASH: You're tough, to withstand that tackle!

SERENA: Thanks, Ash! And thank you to everyone else, too!
