Chapter 62: Garden Ambush!

I'm back from LA, as I wasn't posting for the sole reason of being on vacation. I wanted to enjoy it, so don't blame meh ;-;

It's the next day, and school has come.

ASH: Why don't you just give it up? Serena and I have experienced more than you and I will have in a lifetime.

MIETTE: Really? I'm your girlfriend now, and Serena isn't. Knowing the pattern, much more interesting stuff will happen, and you'll protect me.

ASH: *Thinks* You sure about that? Oh, please.

At lunch, the two couples are supposed to sit as far away from each other as possible. It deems hard to get any words in to their friends, as the midget and the psychopath accompany them to and from school.

Pikachu doesn't like it either. Like, at all.

MIETTE: Come. We're going to the park to do homework. Quite romantic, huh?

ASH: *Mutters* Would be if it were someone else instead of you.

After like a week cuz I hate writing those kinds of parts-

Ash had finally talked to Dawn, who conveyed the message to Barry, who conveyed the message to May, then Clemont, and so forth (cuz I'm lazy.)

The group of friends played dumb, started complimenting the couples (with noticeable disgust but midget and psychopath are stupid so they didn't notice), and arranged their "dates."

ASH: *Thinks* The restaurants we are going to are neighbors, and they share the same garden place. That's where we ambush them. During our stupidly "romantic" walk there.

The date comes, and they sit down. Ash and Serena are extremely tense, as it is clear both enemies have all of their six Pokémon present in their party.

With Ash and Midget (EW)

ASH: After we eat, since you like romantic stuff, we could go walk around the little garden section they have in the back. It's pretty spacious.

MIETTE: *Proud* See? It isn't so bad, is it, being my boyfriend? That's a good idea, Ash.

ASH: *Sarcastic* In that case, let's eat quickly! I can't wait!

MIETTE: *Beaming* 'KAY!

ASH: *Gags*

With Serena and Psychopath aka Calem (EWWWWWWWW X10)

SERENA: *Thoughtfully* You know, there's a pretty little area on the backside of the restaurant. When we're done eating, I think it'd be nice to go there.

CALEM: *Grins* Enjoying your time with me?

SERENA: *Thinks* AW HELL NO! *Says* It's better than I thought it was going to be, I admit.

CALEM: See? You're getting used to it, just like I said.

SERENA: *Gags*

AFTER DINNER

MIETTE: Well, as you suggested, let's go walk around!

ASH: *Blechh* Yeah, okay. *Thinks* I need to stay calm, and make the right choices. Otherwise, Miette's gonna get thrown off by my behavior.

MIETTE: La da dee dum...

ASH: *Sweat drops, thinking* Um... they're acting pretty stupid around us, but they will still battle well. And with 12 Pokémon on their side, too!

They enter the garden place to find that Serena and Calem aren't there yet. However, Ash does manage to spot his friends hidden in the bushes, just barely.

ASH: *Grins, thinking* Nice job with the hiding. Bet Clemont came up with the spots.

Then, he sees Calem and Serena enter the garden. Calem's too busy talking to her to notice us, and Miette... well, she's just fooling around, in her own little daydream.

Ash sighs. How come they were overcome by such fools-?

ASH: Annnnnd... *Shouts* NOW!
