Y/N followed Todoroki back into the stadium, her fingers fidgeting with the end of her shirt as she grew closer and closer to the loud cheers of the crowd.
She stopped in her tracks when she looked up to the stage and saw her female classmates dressed in revealing cheerleading outfits, was she supposed to take part in that? No one told her anything.

"You two dumbasses fooled us!" Jiro shouted, pointing at Kaminari and Mineta, who were staring at the girls while drooling.
"Too bad we couldn't find L/N earlier, then it would be perfect" Kaminari said, to which Mineta nodded slowly while his eyes still stayed glued to the embarrassed girls.

Y/N tilted her head while Shoto glared at the two in response to the comment they just made. He had frozen the two pervs feet right before they could take a step, making them fall face first onto the ground.
The girl didn't catch on very fast, so she had moved to help them up, but stopped once Shoto placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

"Don't bother" he said, and Y/N reluctantly nodded.

"Alright! Now let's see the roster for the upcoming battles!" Midnight exclaimed, earning herself some more loud cheers.
Y/N moved a little closer to the screen to look for her name, just as the other qualifying students did the same.

She quickly found herself, looked like she was going to be facing Mina in her first fight.
"Woohoo! You better get ready, Y/N! I'm not going easy just cause you're the new student" Mina said, slinging her arm over the timid girls shoulder.
Y/N smiled at the girl, embarrassment flooding her at how direct Mina was being.

"Lucky you two, I have to go against Bakugou for my first fight. I'm a goner" Uraraka said with sluggish shoulders, she already had a look of defeat. But who wouldn't? Bakugou was a scary guy in general, facing him in a group setting is one thing, one on one though? That was terrifying to think about. So Y/N pitied the brown haired girl tremendously.

"I'm up against Shinso, from the support course. I really didn't want to go up first" Midoriya said from behind the girls.
"I mean, shouldn't be too hard right? No offense to Shinso and all, but he is part of the support course" Mina said while Y/N looked in the direction of the indigo haired boy.
There was more to him than what everyone around them said, he made it this far so that should've been obvious enough.

"Weren't you on his team for the cavalry race Mina? What was his quirk?" Uraraka asked, and Mina stopped to think back.

"....I was on his team?"

Y/N tilted her head with dotted eyes, and Midoriya couldn't press her for more answers because Midnight started to speak once again.
"Our first battle will be, Midoriya Izuku against, Hitoshi Shinso! All students go to your respective places! And go beyond, plus ultra!"

The audience cheered loudly while the students were being ushered away .
Y/N stood at the railing close to the class A seating section. She looked down at the large arena, seeing Midoriya and Shinso started to exit the tunnels to face each other.
Her mind went back to what Todoroki had told her, about how much it meant for him to win. If she did make it far enough that she faced him, should she just forfeit the match so that he could win?
Then she remembered that he got grumpy at her because he thought she pitied him. So would forfeiting make him even more angry?
Boys were weird and complicated.
