Y/N had spent a few minutes in the recovery office, earning herself a light scolding from recover girl due to Mina's temporary condition.

The school nurse had grown to know Y/N well, having been taken in by the Kocho sisters, they often shared their medical findings to the older woman.

"That Shinobu girl must've taught you about this, she's a mischievous one, always has been even when she was a little girl." Recovery Girl said, using her quirk on Ashido.
Y/N smiled softly at the thought of a younger Shinobu, she could imagine the youngest Kocho sibling being even feistier than she is now.

"I can always remember her teasing Aizawa, when they would spar together, he would use his quirk but she would whip out that chi blocking move like you did. He could never keep up with her, you using that must've brought back some embarrassing memories for him" she recounted, smiling fondly to herself as Y/N listened in amusement.

Y/N hadn't realized just how much time she had spent listening to Recovery Girl reminiscing in the past, before she glanced at the tv and saw that Uraraka was down after performing an attempt of catching him by surprise, but Bakugou was the winner of their fight.

Y/N's eyebrows furrowed in worry, while Recovery Girl sighed and moved to get a bed ready.
"Always a busy day when the sports festival is in session."
Y/N looked to recovery girl, her hand instinctively moving to grab the coin in her pocket, but stopped herself.
"Miss, would it be okay, if I healed her instead?" Y/N asked, her cheeks heating up in embarrassment as she looked at the ground instead.

"Are you sure? Wouldn't you want to save your energy for the rest of the festival?" She asked, Y/N nodding once in response.
"If you're sure then."

Y/N left the office and made her way down the corridor and towards the private rooms the students used to prepare themselves before their fights. The girl gently knocked on the door, she could hear some shuffling inside before the door opened.
Uraraka had obvious puffy eyes fresh from wiping her tears away, "oh Y/N! Hey, did you see that fight? It was pretty embarrassing huh?" She asked, scratching the back of her head.

Y/N spotted a lot of bruises and fresh burns, so she smiled kindly at the brown haired girl. "Can I heal your wounds?" She asked, to which Uraraka smiled and opened the door wider.

"That would be great" Uraraka admitted, closing the door behind Y/N and moving to sit at the table. Y/N sat beside her, growing the gold flower in her hand and handing it to her classmate. Uraraka could feel her strength returning to her, as well as feeling her burns and bruises being relieved.

"I wasn't even close to winning, the difference in strength is kind of a slap in the face" Ochaco whined, leaning back in her chair while Y/N tilted her head a little. Her eyes drifted towards the screen as the heroes got the stage ready for Midoriya and Todoroki's fight, before going back to Uraraka.

"I don't think so. The fact you kept getting up, even when he knocked you down, shows you're not too far behind him. I saw the way his hands trembled at the end, you caught him off guard. You're going to be a great hero" Y/N said truthfully, smiling at her.

Uraraka stared with widened eyes, before they teared up again.
"Thanks Y/N" she said, leaning forward to wrap the quiet girl in a hug. Y/N smiled and hugged the girl back.

"Do me a favor and kick Bakugou's butt if you end up facing him" the brown haired girl said, Y/N laughed a little in amusement.

"I'll try my best."

Shoto marched his way to the tunnel, trying his best to be quick and not run into his father like before he fought Sero. His fists were clenched as he got himself mentally ready to face Midoriya, who he had suspected to be the secret love child of the number one hero. But turned out that was false.

His shoulders visibly relaxed when he indeed saw someone by the tunnel, happy it wasn't it father, but also happy that it was Y/N.
"I had to run over here to make it in time" Y/N admitted. She didn't want to also admit that she used a large portion of her strength and energy to make that healing flower for Uraraka, but it seemed she didn't need to, because Shoto tilted his head like a confused owl.

"Are you feeling okay? You look unbalanced on your feet" he asked, to which Y/N jolted up to stand straighter.

"I'm in good health" she said with a blush. Shoto looked unconvinced, but slowly nodded.
"Shoto, are you upset about something? You went a little overboard with Sero."

Shoto looked off to the side as his expression grew grim at the reminder.
"I regret that I did that. But my father stopped me before that fight, and he got me angry. I'm surprised he didn't stop to talk to me before this fight as well. But I hate him."

Y/N fidgeted with her fingers, looking to the boy in worry.

"My fight is going to start, I have to go" he said, moving to walk past her. She lightly grabbed the back of his shirt to stop him, "I know you don't want to use it. But please listen. I want you to use your fire, but on your terms"

Shoto didn't say a word, continuing forward when he felt her let him go.

She was really getting into his head.

Y/N was watching from the tunnel Shoto had exited from, her hands clasped together and against her chest.

Midoriya was shouting desperately, knocking Shoto around over and over. The half and half boy had put up a fight at the start of the fight, launching more and more ice at the green haired boy. But Midoriya was relentless, but it didn't seem like he was trying to win. At least, in the moment he didn't. But neither did Shoto.

Midoriya knocked Todoroki back again, making the boy look down. His entire body ached, and the frost of his quirk was wearing him down.
"I refuse, to use it."

"It's yours! Your quirk not his!"

Shoto's eyes widened, flashed of his mother invading his head. His origin.

'I want you to use your fire. But on your terms.'

Shoto's left side ignited, people in the audience scrunching their eyes from the sheer heat he produced.
"It's his fire!" Uraraka exclaimed, Endeavor smiling wickedly at the sight of his son finally utilizing his quirk.

Y/N's mouth was parted, her e/c eyes glued to the bright flames surrounding Shoto like ferocious wing shielding him from everything and everyone. Shoto Todoroki looked like a force not to be trifled with. But to Y/N?
His flames looked mesmerizing.

Todoroki and Midoriya flew at each other, both of their quirks shining brightly. Midnight and Cementoss tried their best to prevent the two from making contact, but it had little to no effect.
Midoriya hit the wall, falling to the ground motionlessly as Shoto stood, huffing tiredly.

"Shoto Todoroki is the winner! He advances to the next round!"

He was mesmerizing.
