Shoto didn't wake up while he was in the hospital, if he did, then he didn't remember at all. His recollection started when he opened his eyes, safe in his room with his older brother at his side.
His mind immediately went to the e/c eyed girl, before he went into unconsciousness. He had felt himself fall from the shoulder she supported him with, watching her fall as well. She still had so much fight in her, she only collapsed to her knees, never fully on the ground.

Shoto tried to sit up, his brother immediately taking notice and put his hands on his shoulders, pushing the teen down.
"No, you need to stay down" Natsuo said, Shoto, not being able to fight him off in his weakened state, laid back down and shook his head slowly.

"Y/N" he whispered, his older brother nodding in understanding.

"She's safe, in the hospital. She's still unconscious though" he said. Shoto had been unconscious for a week, he was physically okay, it was the hardcore drugs that took its toll on his body. But they were pumped from his system, now he just needed rest.

Natsuo glared over his shoulder when he heard fast and heavy footsteps coming down the hall, immediately standing up from his spot beside his younger brother to act as a shield.

"Shoto, you're finally awake" Enji Todoroki said, walking into the room, but stopping when he saw Natsuo blocking his way.

"Yeah he's awake, now get lost."

Enji didn't yell like he normally would've. It caught Shoto off guard as well.
He hadn't seen his father in a month, he was aware of his promotion as the new number one hero. But Shoto wasn't aware of his persistence to be a better hero, as well as a better father.

"Natsuo, I-"

"You didn't even go looking for him, such a pathetic number one hero. Just leave already!"

Enji looked at his son sadly, the pang in his chest growing at his words. He saw a flash of Touya running around with so much fire in his eyes.
He blinked the images away before slowly leaving the room, shutting the door quietly as he left.
The man glanced to Fuyumi, who was standing beside Shoto's bedroom door with tears in her eyes. She was clearly exhausted, the absence of her younger brother took a large toll on her, and she had to work even harder to keep the family together as much as possible, especially when Natsuo resented their father much more due to his lack of effort in the search.

Enji didn't say a word to her, walking past her to find refuge in his office.
He was ashamed.

Shoto allowed his sister to dote on him, allowed his brother to hug him whenever he wanted. But his mind was always on her. On Y/N.
He wanted nothing more than to have her in his arms.

And now a week after he woke up, he finally did. He wanted nothing more than to keep her with him for all eternity. He never wanted to let her go. His eyes slowly flowed with tears as she wept into his shoulder, one hand at the back of her head and the other on her back, rubbing small circles on the thin hospital gown, not at all appropriate in the snowy weather. His two different colored eyes looked down at her, with the little space created between the two, he could see her lips turning the tiniest bit of blue. It was obvious she was beginning to lean closer to his left side as well, so he knew he had to get her out of there.

He stood up, gently removing her from his arm. She stared up at him, her expression so weak in contrast to her usual strong presence. The stitches on her cheek, the healing gashes across her face, she looked so small, too pure and frail for the world.
He kneeled down with his back facing her, urging her to get on. She hesitantly put her hands on his shoulders, sitting up a little until he hooked his arms under her legs to hoist her up.
