Y/N walked down the busy streets of Musutafu, hands tucked inside of her sweater pockets, binder tucked under her arm.

Ever since the camp incident, All Mights fight with All for One, as well as his retirement, UA gave the students much needed time off from class.

After the devastating fight and Bakugou's rescue, it seemed like time had already snapped back to normal and lifestyles continued.

Except Shoto was still missing, and Y/N couldn't get any answers out of anyone in regard to an update on his case.

That's what lead her to her current task, making her way through the massive city in pursuit of the police station.
She didn't know how many times she's been in the station, asking for any updates. But every single time she left with the same answer: "the case is classified and we will let you know any updates when we get the go ahead."

Y/N looked towards the ground as she walked, no smile on her face like she usually did. She had a concentrated expression as she was deep in her thoughts.
The dorms had been a good sanctuary for her to think, but the rest of the class moved in and that peace was gone. They had been giving the girl her space, even Bakugou hadn't threatened her for saving his life yet.

Y/N reached the police station and opened the doors, the receptionist looking up and immediately groaning to herself.

"Look kid, if you keep coming back over here I'm going to have to get security drag you out of here by force."

"It's been twenty four hours since I've last been here, you said I would get a call in connection to his case" Y/N said, approaching the desk and gently placing the binder on top of it.
"I even brought as much information on Douma as possible, I did research all night and-"

"Kid, I'm being serious. You need to leave and stop pestering-"

"Teresa, what's the problem?" A man asked as he stepped into the lobby, wearing a traditional detectives coat as if he accepted his role in the community with much enthusiasm.

"Mister Tsukauchi, this is who I've told you about. She keeps on coming back, I've already told her so many times that this case is not any of her concern."

"Come on now. She's worried about her classmate, she was affected by the attack more than any of us at the station. L/N right? Come on, I want to talk to you."

Y/N followed, keeping her binder close to her chest as she walked behind the man. They silently made their way through a few hallways before finally entering a fairly large office.
He made his way to his desk after shutting the door, motioning for the girl to take a seat across from the desk.

She did as told, taking a seat and picking at the edges of her binder.
Tsukauchi smiled a little, but Y/N picked up on his true expression behind the faked smile. Pity.

Pity again.
She was so exhausted of seeing that expression pointed at her.

"I remember your case very well, L/N" he began. He realized he wasn't going to get a response, so he continued.
"You were tiny when we got you out of that house. The doctors said it was a miracle that you didn't die, everyone involved in the case were convinced you weren't going to make it. Well, everyone besides those two."

Y/N's eyes followed him as he stood up, making his way to the small counter to pour himself a cup of coffee, before returning to his seat.

"Those Kocho sisters jumped up at the opportunity of taking you in. Getting you to smile, giving you a name, getting you into the hero course. It was devastating for all of us when we got word of that happened to the butterfly estate."
