Shoto huffed as he made his way back towards the tunnel, his hand shaking as his heart tried to catch up with his brain. He actually used his fire. And the first thought that was running through his mind was: "what have I done?"
He speed walked, he had to not only get a fresh uniform because part of his was burned away from how uncontrollable his flames were. But he was also trying to go somewhere, anywhere, to clear his mind. He couldn't believe he did that.
He stopped in his tracks when he felt arms around his torso, his eyes widening before directing themselves downwards and onto the girl that hugged him. He had almost walked past her without a word, but she wasn't going to let him.
"You used it" Y/N said, looking up at him with a genuine smile, not the fake one she always plastered on to shield herself from reality.
Shoto looked at his left hand, it was still trembling a little. "I know" he trailed off, regret still pooling inside of him. He was ruthless just now, he was sure he looked like his father. He was certain of it.
"It was beautiful."
Shoto's heart skipped a beat, his eyes shooting back onto hers.
"Keep using it, because it looked beautiful" she said, releasing him from her hug before opening up her hand. Slowly and gently, a hibiscus and frost flower bloomed from her palm. She smiled softly and gave the two flowers to Shoto. "Flowers that represent fire and ice. Don't they look beautiful together?"
It was instant, Shoto's dark world that surrounded him like clockwork, was shrouded in light.
"Ill let you get dressed, my match it almost up" Y/N said, bowing to her classmate before turning around and leaving the half and half boy.
Shoto watched her leave until she was well out of view.
"She lights the darkness like a shooting star."

Y/N rubbed her eyes as she walked towards the preparation room so she could sit and rest for a little. She would have to work on her healing flower more, growing that flower took its toll. It was no wonder she couldn't use it on herself, it already took up so much energy.
"Hey."
Y/N flinched at the voice. Oh no.
She hesitatingly turned around, cursing her luck internally as Bakugou walked closer towards her. She could hear Iida and Ibara's fight, but it didn't seem like the blonde wanted to bother watching it.
"You're going against that bird head guy right?" He asked, hands stuffed in his pockets and stopping right in front of the girl.
Bird head? Oh, Tokoyami. Y/N nodded once, taking a step back. Which was futile because Bakugou just took a step forward to close the distance again.
"You better win. I'll make quick work of pebble brain. So we can have our fight, I want to mop the floor with you for looking down on me."
Y/N had no clue how to answer to that. She was trying hard to rack her brain, but nothing came to. She reached into her pocket, retrieving her coin. But Bakugou got ticked off from that. He put two and two together the times he saw her use her coin. She really wouldn't answer him if it landed on a certain side?
He smacked the coin from her hands, making it land on the ground before glaring at her. "Enough with the dumbass coin!" He demanded, "just win the damn match!" And with that, he turned and left.
Y/N watched him leave as she fiddled with the end of her shirt. She had no clue why he hated her so much.
She retrieved her coin from the ground, looking at the details before placing it back into her pocket. It was one problem after another with her.

Y/N stepped out of the tunnel as her name was called, watching Tokoyami walking opposite of her. She knew little of his dark shadow, but it seemed like a powerful quirk when he was up against Yaoyorozu. He managed to knock her out of bounds even when she had her shield up. The best thing Y/N could think of, was to manage to get close enough to take him on in a close quarters fight.
Shoto stood in the audience, his hands gripping the railing tightly as he looked at the girl. "You got this" he mumbled to himself.
"And start!"
Dark shadow was released and pursuing her in a second.
Y/N rolled out of the way, immediately getting up and turning around to face the shadow, but it was quick. She managed to put her arms in front of herself to lessen the damage of the blow, grunting a little when the shadow made contact and knocked her back.
Vines grow from the ground to stop herself from going out of bounds, before the ground beneath them started to split as more vines shot towards Tokoyami in return. Dark shadow returned to Tokoyami, saving him from going out of bounds as a large cherry blossom tree grew in the middle of the arena.
"There's the move we saw during the obstacle race!" Present Mic said as the crowd cheered loudly.
Y/N teleported to the falling petal behind her classmate, her hand reaching for him. But dark shadow reacted quickly, protecting Tokoyami while it reached its arms towards the girl.
She immediately teleported to another petal that was in front of the boy, she landed in a crouched position and kicked Tokoyami's legs. He tumbled to the ground, Y/N teleporting to another petal from above.
"She's quick!" Uraraka exclaimed.
Dark Shadow sprung upwards, as Y/N descended towards the shadow user. Petals swarmed around her like a tornado, forcing the shadow back as the wind picked up. The army of spinning petals soon slammed into Tokoyami, making the ground below them crack from the force.
The audience had to hold onto their seats to keep from flying away, the petals clearing up the shriveling away as they landed on the ground. Tokoyami laid in the crater unconscious as Y/N stayed standing, the audience cheering loudly.
"Tokoyami is unable to continue! Y/N L/N is the winner and advanced to the semi finals!"
Bakugou grinned from his seat. Now it was his turn.
