"Why are you acting like we didn't just bring down a crazy strong villain? Scolding us instead of praise? You damn dog."

Y/N was waving her hands towards Shoto to silently signal him to stop talking to the police officer like that. She was on a medical bed, same as Shoto, Midoriya and Iida. She had to get a few stitches and a bandage on her cheek, but nothing really major. Her small "hospitalization" was merely the overreaction of the pros that insisted the young heroes in training get looked at.

But now? Her overthinking self was convinced that Shoto Todoroki was going to get arrested for bad mouthing the officer that was scolding and telling them to keep quiet about taking down the hero killer.

"It's not like that, Shoto. It is against the law to use your quirks in public without your hero licenses. Your tasks were just to evacuate the civilians being pursued by the Nomu creatures. So we will give our thanks here, without the media. But know that we appreciate all of you very much" Tsukauchi said, bowing along with the other officer.

Midoriya looked more than happy at the appreciation, Iida had some tears in his eyes. Shoto just looked to the side in embarrassment.
"Could've started out with that."

The two officers left, leaving the teens alone in the room.
The green haired boy smiled towards the girl, who released a sigh of relief when Shoto wasn't reprimanded.
"Y/N"

She perked up at the sound of her name, her eyes landing on Midoriya.
"I just never had the chance to say thank you for showing up when you did. You had a pretty cool entrance too."

"Oh, of course" Y/N replied with a small nod, bringing her knees to her chest.

"It's all my fault. All of you got hurt because I wanted revenge. I wasn't heroic at all" Iida stepped in, looking down at his scarred hand. "I'll always have this scar to remember all my wrong doings."

"Iida! Don't feel bad, it's understandable that you would feel that way. Because of your persistence, the hero killer is off the streets too. I'm sure your brother will be very proud" Midoriya said, getting up from his bed and walking towards Iida's.

Y/N smiled softly at them, watching as Iida finally shed some tears in front of them. Shoto got up from his bed, waddled to Y/N's and sat on it next to her. She blinked with dotted eyes, scooting away a little but her hands were snatched and examined closely.

"...Shoto?" Y/N trailed off with an embarrassed blush.

"I kind of feel bad" Shoto began, glad that Y/N's hands were spared of any scars.
"Everyone I come into contact with, always messes up their hands. Is it....a curse?"

Midoriya and Iida looked at their classmate with appalled expressions, before they both burst out laughing. Y/N put her hand to her mouth, but Shoto still looked completely serious.

"I didn't know you could make jokes, Todoroki! Haha" Midoriya said in between laughs.

"I'm not joking. I'm like the hand crusher or something."

"Hand crusher!!"
