Well, umm.... How should I explain this? So, after our fight begins, we realize we're both holding back. So, we decide to go all out. I draw Shinigami, but Indra has some aces up his sleeve. My jaw nearly drops when he summons that metallic armor.

"Dude, what the hell is that? And you can fly with that thing?" I yell.

"Well, this is a prototype armor that I've been working on for the past few years. It's still in the testing phase. I'll explain it later," Indra replies.

Okay, now this is messed up. There is no way I can beat him. Well, Shinigami might do the work, but I don't want to turn him into a pile of ash.

"Shahasra, use me. Draw my power. Do as I say!" Raijin tells me in my head.

"Draw your what again? Also, I've been using you since the beginning of this fight," I reply.

"You are just using my physical form, not my mental form. You have to unite us," Raijin explained, but I didn't understand what he was saying at all.

"Just do as I say, and we'll take this step by step. First, concentrate your healing power on your lungs, all of it. After that, imagine a line connecting my shrine and Shinigami's shrine. Picture power surging from my shrine to Shinigami's shrine," he explained further. So, I did as he said... The moment I did that, I felt my body getting hot. I needed more power. I started to draw more, but Raijin stopped me.

"No, you shouldn't do that. Keep it slow... or you will die," Raijin yelled.

"Do you have a manual guidebook for this?" I yelled back while stopping myself from drawing more power. Then, strange things began to happen. I started to have some memories... not mine, but someone else's. A young man who looked familiar, training with two swords. That style felt awfully familiar too. Suddenly, in my mind, a new sword style form appeared. I don't know how to describe it. The movements, the sword style form emerged in my mind.

"Looks like you grasped it," Raijin told me.

"What was that? Who is that person?" I asked.

"I'm not just a part of your consciousness. I'm a combination of two consciousnesses: part of yours and part of Narukami's."

"Wait... What?" I asked.

"Ask questions later. Now beat that Pineapple!" Raijin yelled back.

My body acted on its own, 'Narukami no Nitō, First Form: Raijin no Mai.' The memory in my head whispered to me. With that, I charged at Indra with a speed I had never moved before.

Our battle continued at lightning speed. Indra never left an opening for me; his defence was too tight, and his attacks were long-ranged. Whenever I got close to him, he struck me with his spear. I focused all of my healing powers on my lungs, so my body started to get injured from his attacks. I used six forms against him, making his armour shatter. Then he fired a fully charged barrage at me, and time started to flow really slowly, just like it did in my first duel with my uncle.

I put up my defensive stance, but I was pretty sure it wouldn't be enough. I was done for this time. And then...

"Draw the full power, NOW!" Raijin yelled at me. So, I did as he said and drew the full power from him.

'Narukami no Nitō, Seventh Form: Rairyū no Hitotachi,' the mysterious voice told me again. This time, I felt like someone was helping me move, like controlling me within my body—a weird feeling.

I heard Indra speak in an amused tone. "Man, that attack was enough to take down a level 90 monster in a single strike. You took it directly and are still unharmed. What kind of monster are you? I'm pretty sure you're not human."

I'm not sure what he meant by that. I took a moment to process everything. Shinigami shattered into pieces, forming a purple dragon avatar around me. I was in the head of the avatar. When I moved Raijin, my dragon avatar created a lightning tachi and wielded it with its mouth. It started syncing with my movements. So, basically... I'm a dragon now.

"Human or monster, I'd like to find out who I am too. So, come at me!" I challenged Indra.

Indra sighed. "I guess I have no choice then. Rise, Singhagiri!" A huge golden lion avatar appeared around him, crackling with yellow lightning bolts everywhere. Like my dragon, it wielded a sword in its right arm. Indra's spear transformed into a sword as well. His lion avatar roared at me, and my dragon roared back at him. Wait... if I am the dragon, am I the one who roared? Whatever... I'll think about it later.

"Let's find out then..." Indra charged at me.

The moment before our swords clashed, a blue lightning bolt struck between us. A man appeared, stopping our avatar swords with his bare hands. He was wearing a white kimono with a blue lightning design and dragon embroidery. He had long antlers on his head, and his face looked somewhat familiar. Wait... is that Grandfather Narukami?

"Good grief, can you two stop fighting?" Grandfather Narukami said. Then he spun us around and threw us to the ground.

Indra hit the ground first, and I landed on top of him. He yelled in a language that I didn't recognize. I think it's Khaenri'ah's ancient language, but it sounded like he was saying some bad words. I slowly got up and helped him to his feet. He stood up, arched his back like an old man, and muttered what sounded like more curse words.

"That hurts. Who is that person?" Indra asked me.

"That's my grandfather, Narukami," I replied.

"Oh, shoot," he cursed again.

Everyone started to kneel down one by one. I did the same, and to my surprise, Indra did too.

"Rise, everyone. No need to bow. I'm here for my grandson's birthday ceremony. Looks like I'm a little bit late," Grandfather Narukami said while floating in mid-air. We all raised our heads, and with a flash, he appeared in front of us.

"So, who started this first?" he asked. Indra and I pointed at each other. My grandfather playfully tapped our heads.

"Both of you nearly killed yourselves... but I'm proud of you. Powerful youngsters like you are rare to see these days," he said with a smile and walked over to join my family.

Indra whistled. "Man, your grandfather is something else. He stopped us with his bare hands," he said.

"Yeah, I know," I replied and started to search for Shinigami. I had Raijin with me, but when my grandfather spun me around, I lost control over my avatar. Shinigami turned back into its original form and flew somewhere before I could grab it.

"Shahasra!!!" I heard Ei and Makoto running toward me, calling my name. After them, the others followed.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" they started to question and praise me.

"Guys, calm down. Nothing happened. Anyway, did anyone see my other blade, Shinigami? I can't find it," I asked.

"Hey, are you looking for this?" Indra handed Shinigami to me. "When I was looking for PI, I saw it. It was embedded in a large rock and had sliced through it. This is a crazy sharp blade, man... but I don't know. That rock seemed so fragile. When I took out your blade, the rock turned into sand."

"Thanks, dude." I smiled at him and took my sword. Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait a goddamn minute. Did he just say what? Me and the others had the same expression.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that? Is something on my face?" Indra asked.

"Ummmmm, are you okay? You're not feeling unwell, right?" I asked carefully.

"Nope, I'm fine, thanks for asking. Anyway, why do you guys keep looking at me like that?" he asked again. I took a deep breath and explained to him what Shinigami really is and showed him what it can do.

He looked at me and then... fainted. I tried to grab him, but fatigue started to wash over me, so I fainted too.
