How would you feel if someone spoiled the biggest mystery in your life, like revealing a crucial plot twist in your favourite book? That's how I felt when Indra revealed that the emblem I've been carrying, the one Shinigami bears, belongs to Mahesvara, one of the three Primordial Gods. I was left speechless for a moment. Then, I said something so cursed that if my mother heard it, she'd probably wash my mouth out with holy water.
I was literally shaking, but Pierro broke the silence.
"You are mistaken, my prince. It's not the emblem of Mahesvara. Yes, they look similar, but they're not the same," he explained.
Indra frowned. "What do you mean? It looks the same, but it's different? What is it, then?"
I was just as curious. "Care to explain?" I asked.
"Let me show you. Can I get a paper and a pen?" Pierro requested. Takashi got up and handed him what he needed. Pierro then began to draw some symbols on the paper. The first one he drew was a strange symbol.
"This is the symbol of the Primordial Goddess Brahma," Pierro explained, pointing to the triquetra he had drawn. "It symbolizes the beginning of everything, a never-ending cycle without a starting point or an ending point."
He then took his time to draw another symbol. This one looked like a hand with an eye in the palm.
"Sorry, but this is just a simplified version," Pierro said, shaking his head slightly. "The real one is far more intricate, with complex patterns. This is called the Hamsa hand, symbolizing protection, power, and strength. It's the symbol of Goddess Vishnu, The Preserver."
Finally, he drew the symbol I had seen before—but it wasn't exactly the same; it was different.
"And finally, we have the symbol of destruction, the Vinasham, symbol of Mahesvara. It represents absolute massacre, a bloodbath, and merciless destruction of everything in its path," Pierro explained.
I took the drawing from him. It was exactly the same as the symbol I had seen in my realm, but it was pointing in a different direction.
"Wait, if this is the symbol of Mahesvara, then what does my symbol mean?" I asked, puzzled.
Pierro thought for a moment, muttering to himself, "I think... this might work."
He took the drawing and walked over to the mirror in the corner of my room. Holding the drawing in front of the mirror, he said, "Take a look at this."
I walked up to him and stood next to him, looking into the mirror. In the reflection, I saw the Vinasham symbol pointing in the opposite direction—exactly like my symbol.
"No way... My symbol is the opposite version of Mahesvara's symbol. What does that mean?" I asked, feeling a surge of unease.
"I'm afraid I don't have the answer," Pierro replied, his voice steady but uncertain.
"I see. So, I think whatever this is, it's related to my origins. I need to find out what it means."
"Yes, I believe Lord Narukami's brother, Lord Verdantus: The Dragon of Nature, might hold the answer. His wisdom is second to none in this world. Even if he doesn't know, he can surely guide you."
He was right. My grandfather had told me the same thing. He said his brother would know my origins, but I was to wait until I turned 16 because, even with my current abilities, I couldn't reach his prison. I sighed. It felt like I'd hit a wall, but at least I'd found a lead. This was a matter for the future. For now, I was enjoying this life.
"Thank you, Pierro. You've been a huge help," I replied gratefully.
"What about me?" Indra yelled from the back, clearly feeling left out. I stuck my tongue out at him in a playful gesture. Anyway, that story was to be continued. I went back to opening my gifts.

EExpensive clothes, cologne... gift wraps flying everywhere. My room became a mess in minutes. I opened my last gift, the one from Indra. It was a box.
"What is this?" I asked, holding up the box.
"A box," he replied, with a grin. Yeah, I regretted asking that. I should've seen it coming. I decided to open the box. Inside was a tetrahedron, similar to PI and MON, but all black.
"Is this...?"
"Yeah, it's my new model and prototype. You can name it whatever you want. To turn it on, just press this button." Indra showed me the button. I pressed it, and the tetrahedron lit up with a blue glow, making some 'beep' noises as it floated in mid-air. Then it started to talk in a weird voice.
"Analyzing systems: Gravity module status: Stable, processing unit status: Stable, Visual: Stable..." It continued analyzing its own status.
"How is it talking?" I asked, intrigued. Indra began explaining the functions of his new prototype.
"I see. Not gonna lie, this is a genius invention," I said, genuinely impressed after hearing everything.
"Thank you. I think I can say the same to you. While you were unconscious, I went through some of your notes and blueprints. Not gonna lie, those were amazing," Indra replied, his admiration evident.
"Analysis complete. Awaiting orders," the tetrahedron announced.
"Oh, it's done! I'm glad it didn't blow up," Indra said, with a sigh of relief.
"Did you just say, 'blow up'?" I asked, eyeing the floating device warily. Indra gave me a nervous smile, choosing to ignore the question.
"Anyway, it's time to set your authorization code. Give it a name and say 'activate,'" Indra instructed.
A name... I started to think.
