(Shahasra's Point of View)

After that, Ei bit calmed down.

"Thanks for the gift, by the way. It's really nice," I said.

"It's nothing; I just merely altered your blueprint," Ei replied.

"Come to think of it, I don't remember designing something like this," I said, because I was certain about that.

"It was one of the blueprints that you threw away. I just got curious... I think the title of the blueprint was Project Susanoo or something like that. Sorry, I should've asked first before taking it," Ei replied.

It reminded me. That was some silly project of mine—a full Samurai war armor that could automatically deploy according to voice commands. As I remember, my first design was the helmet or something like that... well, I don't remember it all. But as I recall, the reason I threw it in the trash was because I had a technical problem. The problem was, I couldn't find a way to compress the whole armor into a small piece. You know, just a little problem.

"So, uh... you... ugh," I stuttered because I couldn't find the right words.

"Rise, Susanoo," Ei said.

"What?" I couldn't finish my sentence because the shoulder guards started to glow, and in an instant, I was wearing a full suit of armor, including a helmet. The most amazing part was that the armor wasn't a physical object—it was like the seventh form of Narukami no Nitō, an avatar version of samurai armor. But it didn't last long, disappearing just moments later.

"Sorry, it's still not perfect. I think there are some adjustments I need to make," Ei said, already deep in thought.

Honestly, I was speechless. She's a genius. I had figured out the problem in my original design, but she made it work in a way I hadn't thought of. Still, she needed to figure it out for herself.

"I know the solution, but I won't tell you. You have to discover it on your own," I said while taking off the shoulder guards. After removing them, I handed them back to Ei. Then, I poked her on the forehead.

"Ouch... What was that for?" Ei yelled, pouting.

"To make you think. Here's a challenge for you: I won't wear any armor in my future battles until you perfect this. So, you better figure it out before I die in some stupid way," I said with a smirk.

Her pout turned into a smile.

"Just you wait... I will make this armor impenetrable," Ei said.

"It's almost midnight. I think you should go to your room," I suggested.

"Yeah, you're right. Good night, Shahasra—or should I say 'dear husband'?" Ei said with a teasing smile as she left my room.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" I yelled, trying to hide my blush. "Good night, Ei."

She closed the door behind her.

"Well, well, well... what a lovely couple. I wish I were young again," a voice said. Without hesitation, I grabbed Shinigami and struck towards the source of the voice blindly. However, whoever it was dodged the attack.

"Woah... Are you trying to kill your own grandfather?" Narukami's voice came through.

"Grandfather? What are you doing in my room? Wait... HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?" I yelled.

"Ummhh," he hummed.

"But that is my dream, Ei... Create an Inazuma that shines eternally for me. Only you can do it—an unchanging, unchangeable Inazuma for eternity," he said.

Yep, from the beginning. Someone please kill me. I want to crawl into a hole right now. I think he saw my expression because he started laughing nonstop.

"Sometimes I wonder, are you really adopted? Because you really remind me of myself when I was young," he said.

I wanted to yell at him again, but something caught my interest.

"You were... young?" I asked.

"Why do you ask that question as if it's an insult?" Grandfather replied.

"No, I was just wondering. You are immortal, so..."

"Yes, I'm immortal. I was young, just like you. I was a kid..." Grandfather finished my sentence.

"How old are you exactly?" I asked.

"I don't remember. I stopped counting after 10,000," Grandfather replied.

I wondered when he stopped counting—maybe 10,000 years ago, or perhaps even more...

"Sorry, but how were you born exactly? I mean, you're the pure physical form of the Electro element, right? Same goes for your brothers..." I asked.

"No, Shahasra, you're mistaken. First, I don't remember how I was born; my memory is a bit hazy, like any other newborn child. It took me thousands of years to take on a human form. Second, I'm not the pure physical embodiment of the Electro element," Grandfather replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked. Instead of answering, he showed me his hand. Lightning began to crackle around his fingers, but unlike Electro, his lightning was blue.

"See, my lightning is blue. This is the purest form. I am the god of lightning, not the god of Electro. The same goes for my brothers. We are dragons of natural powers, not elements," he explained.

"Wait, then what is Electro?" I asked.

"The answer is simple. In our time, our words were absolute orders. We controlled people. They needed us to survive, they worshipped us. Just like that, godhood was established in Teyvat long ago. After we were defeated, as you know, Celestia began to rule Teyvat. Celestia sealed our natural powers—the powers that allowed us to control people in Teyvat. After that, Celestia created Visions, mere mimics of the true natural powers—elements—and gave them to people who were eligible to hold a Vision. Slowly, people began to forget us in favor of these new powers. The first Vision bearers began to ascend to godhood, and others started to worship them. Power was divided, and a new world was established," Grandfather explained.

"So, it means... the seven elements are artificial?" I asked.

"Not entirely. They are a hybrid of artificial elements and natural powers. The artificial elements were created by King Ravan, the first king of Khaenri'ah. I believe you've seen what Indra uses. The lightning power he wields is yellow—those are artificial elements, which they refer to as electricity or something similar. Ask Indra; he can explain it further," he replied.

"I see. It might be worth researching. But I have one more question... I don't think you came to my room just to explain these things. What's the problem, Grandfather?" I asked.

"Sharp as ever... Aren't you? Sit down; we need to talk," Grandfather replied.
