After all of that, I made my way to my furnace with my guide. Let me tell the truth-my furnace literally looked like a haunted shrine. It was covered with talismans and chains, my own idea as a precaution. My guide bowed to me and took his leave. I stepped inside and waited for the starting signal. After a few moments, my shrine began to glow, and I heard a bell ring. It was the starting signal. The glowing furnace meant it was connected with divine power. I had no idea how it worked, but whatever. I began to smith.

First, I thought I should start with Makoto's blade. I had to smith it with no idealism, meaning I had to forge it with an empty mind. It should be easy; I had one brain cell left in my brain. I took out Narukami's claw and started to heat it up. While it was melting, I looked at my duel tachi design. One would kill without mercy, the other would too. But then I remembered Takashi's face. Maybe, one wouldn't.

(from Makoto's point of view)

As everyone went to their furnaces, I found myself the only one left behind. I sighed and glanced at Shahasra's furnace. It looked like a shrine, as if it held a sealed monster within it. What was he doing anyway? I wondered if everyone else was curious about it too, but I didn't like to pry into others' personal secrets. Taking my seat on the stage with the other noblewomen, I engaged in conversation with them. I didn't know why, but I felt like they always listened to me. After some time to myself, I started to think about Shahasra. How he handled the matter of the Kaedehara clan. He was so calm, and his voice commanded authority over every person here, like a true leader. I began to reconsider Ei's idea. At first, I didn't agree with her, but after seeing how desperate she was, I made up my mind. I would become the shogun. However, after meeting Shahasra, we both changed. I didn't know why, but a part of me wanted to...

A thunderous roar broke my mindset, drawing my attention to Ei's furnace. It seemed she had started to forge, with thunder striking down upon her furnace. Glancing at Shahasra's furnace, I saw there was still no progress. I sighed, feeling time begin to slip away.

"Look, the young master is coming out from the furnace!""Hey, it looks like he's done with forging. He's carrying a weapon with him."

I looked quickly, puzzled. How had he done that? There was no sign that he had started forging. But he wasn't a Vision holder, so there was no elemental resonance even if he had started to forge. Yet, even without a Vision, he could still bend elements. So, how had he forged without any sign?

He walked towards me and handed me the weapon, which was covered with a piece of cloth.

"What is this?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"Your sword," Shahasra smiled, his eyes holding a glint of pride.

"What?" I started to shake. He had finished crafting my sword. Slowly, I took it from his hand. Uncle and Father came near to us.

"What do you mean by 'your sword'?" my father asked, his tone tinged with confusion.

"Oh, didn't she tell you? She said she needed a sword forged with an empty mind but under the power of divinity. So, I did it," Shahasra replied casually, as if it were nothing.

I saw my uncle's and my father's jaws drop after hearing this. They looked stunned, and the same went for me.

"Oops, I have to run. We'll talk later. Let me know if there's something wrong with your tachi, and make sure to imbue it with your own idealism. I crafted it with an empty mind, so you'll be able to do it," Shahasra told me before running back to his furnace.
