"This is a stretch." Anis sighs
"Also, what are we doing up back up here in the surface?" Anis groans not wanting to be back up here after all that has happened in a short amount of time
"Well...." Commander rubs his head not knowing how to form his words
"Better yet, what are they doing here?" A gyaru, a businesswoman and a seller shocked as they are now being recognized
"Oh...um.." The gyaru shivered as the glares Anis was giving made her nervous
"Well you see your Commander here offered us to help and find some items up here at the surface." The businesswoman calls out
"Commander what did you get yourself into." Rapi mutters
"Well me and Talentum made a deal and I now have to pay my debts." The Counters were disappointed at the Commander
"Really? No wonder we couldn't buy groceries for the past 2 weeks." Neon shouts
"Hey, hey but they said if I could help them find valuable items up in the surface, then my debt would be wiped out of existence."
"But only IF." The seller made it clear
"Yes Yan." The shiver he felt was even worse than Anis
"But don't you worry I won't doubt your skills and you can help us find valuable items." Yan with a cheerful face hoping to find something that could be worth a pretty penny
The gyaru, Rupee was live to her journey to the secret stash at the surface
"So are you ready to go?" The businesswoman, Dolla asks
"Yeah sure. Let's go." Talentum and Counters walk to the secret stash of the surface
They arrived at the stack of stash near sunset. Talentum looked a bit worried and so did the Counters
"Commander?" Dolla looks at him with a shame.
"This is a joke right?" Rupee chimes in
"Where are the valuables?" Yan ready to leave but was stopped by the Commander
"Look this pile of trash is a junkyard. A friend once showed me this place and honestly I found valuable items like real coffee, a few vegetables that were in a box, seeds and something called a pomegrande or something like that. It was a big red fruit and he told me to eat it and to be honest I liked it. Too bad real fruit isn't as common to come by." Talentum rushed in to find any needs that could be of use and sell for thousands or even millions
"Well that's a twist." He turns to see Anis, Neon and Rapi out of all people to dig in and find something valuable to sell in the market
"I see why he hid this place clearly." The Commander also goes in to find something he could sell to pay off his debts
Searching around the perimeter he looks to see and old record player, a bike, a microwave and a few smartphones. He grabbed every smartphone he could as they could be used for parts for newer models.
"What did he called this again? Dumpster diving. The 2000s were wild times weren't they." The Commander thinks for a second
"He has me also speaking differently and they way I act isn't the same anymore. I guess he did open me up." He looks around to see the fellow Nikke's rummaging through trash
"Oh well, maybe it's for the better." He smiles but it fades as he heard a raptures screech. He turns and sees a rapture launching an attack
The Commander hurries down and tells the Nikkes to attack. The Nikkes respond was quick, they had the upper hand until more and more began to emerge. They didn't have much ammo on them so they had to retreat.
