It had only been three days and Renjun could tell that life in the new apartment turned out to be way easier than living in the gothic mansion-like house. There was nothing much to do, only a little cleaning, so after eating breakfast they could watch TV which happened after lunch and after dinner too. It was their life. Because of the low number of rooms, Jeno studied in the living room, which let the omega see how his alpha turned into a hard-working student. He was curiously checking Jeno's sketches and enjoyed it when the alpha gave a bit of time to explain his future projects.

At some point in the day, Jeno took the two outside, especially to the park, so they could breathe in the fresh air. Renjun liked it when this happened as he could wear something nice, show off everyone his collar, enjoy linking arms with Jeno, and have Jaemin walking behind them. In the park, they sat on different benches, mostly on those that were further from the main entrance. Neither said anything but it was obvious they wanted to be alone, without anyone else's interference. Such park visits stopped when Jeno was called to work or had to go to lectures. Jaemin refused to go no matter how much Renjun begged.

Renjun liked sleeping between the men he trusted. Each night when they went to sleep, the omega had an urge to bring them all to the middle and leave the edges of the bed for no one. He kept thinking he was stealing Jaemin's pillow but learned the reality was way different. On the third night, Renjun woke up as he felt someone moving. Opening his eyes he saw he was very close to Jaemin, so close the beta wouldn't have space to turn over if he wanted. He also felt Jeno behind himself, which meant the alpha was dominating that side of the bed again and Renjun naturally shifted elsewhere. The thing is, the one moving was Jaemin. Renjun witnessed how the beta grabbed his pillow and pushed it in between himself and Renjun.

The omega's face flushed. Jaemin was the one doing this! And he did it because he must've been uncomfortable by the high proximity level with the omega. He sacrificed his pillow just to keep Renjun away! This upset him. He had a bad sleep even and woke up grumpy. Gladly, Jeno didn't want to tickle him as he would've cussed during the first round.

On the fourth day, Jeno's parents somehow found out where they lived and paid a visit. The alpha son himself was absent, so the atmosphere wasn't as light. Jaemin knew the alphas and successfully diverted their attention from the omega, but from time to time Renjun was looked up and down. He was tense throughout their stay. He quietly listened to how Jaemin told them what happened, blaming himself but earning no criticism from the alphas. Obviously, their opinion was very biased when it came to Jaemin and it seemed they could agree on everything he said.

Renjun knew Jeno's father didn't like him, meanwhile, the alpha woman he saw for the first time. She was way more polite, though. Despite staring so much, she cared enough to ask how Renjun was after his traumatic incident. The omega liked the question but was nervous when he saw Jaemin turning to him. From the beta's eyes, he read that he had to talk only on the topic. So, Renjun made it short, replying he was healing.

Jeno returned and had a long discussion with his parents. Jaemin and Renjun weren't allowed to interfere—not that they wanted to—and neither could they leave the living room. They had to sit there and listen to the alphas arguing, which were just words to Jaemin, but much more to Renjun. He felt their pheromones and was broadly affected. He had to cover his nose as they were suffocating him.

Basically, Jeno's parents wanted him to move in with them, explaining to him how the government received an offer this morning to make reforms to the future families in the following years. They said something about identical houses and new districts. Renjun was very confused about everything he heard. He doubted the government wanted to make everyone similar. He doubted it would touch the rich, yet the alphas took it seriously, explaining Jeno could avoid it if he stayed with them.
