Jaemin froze. He feared looking Renjun in the eyes when Haewon just exposed their secret. But it turned out it wasn't a secret if the master omega knew. The beta was embarrassed. He liked what he did with Haewon, he loved their plan but the thought that Renjun knew at least one part made him uneasy.

The beta didn't want Renjun to think he was like this. That he was sleeping with whoever he saw. That it was easy for him to move on. At one moment, he was about to do everything to excuse himself and thought about blaming Haewon just to clear his image. "He seduced me," he wanted to say. "I just..." And he just what? Went with the flow? Jaemin wasn't an alpha to be so stupid like that. He was a rational beta. He did everything willingly.

Renjun's words hurt him. Jaemin could understand what he meant. He wanted to be the only omega in the house but at the same time, the beta thought it wasn't a big deal. To Renjun—it was everything. He said so many bad things that scared Jaemin. Was he really willing to take Jeno away from him? Would Renjun leave him and have no remorse?

Jaemin had to talk it out, maybe even say the reason it was like this. So, he followed Renjun to the living room. They talked. Jaemin just spilled everything. He exposed himself and showed his weaknesses. Jaemin let Renjun hear that strange timbre in his voice for the first time. A timbre of hopelessness even when he had a goal in mind. Just hearing how the beta spoke, Renjun must have realized that the "always right" and "ready for anything" beta still had moments of weakness. After all, he was human even though Renjun seemed to think otherwise. Jaemin could tell the omega sometimes thought he was a mysterious creature.

Renjun promised Jaemin he wouldn't tell Jeno about his plan but still was strict about Haewon's situation. Jaemin didn't know what to do. He came to the other omega after the conversation and tried to convince Haewon that everything would be alright and that he could stay. Both of them would stay until their departure.

Haewon hardly believed him.

"Did you see how aggressive he was? Jaemin, I've never told you this but Renjun is actually evil. He hides under that innocent mask and pretends to be patient. But once the glass of patience overfills, he's savage. He would do everything to get rid of me."

"Whoever you're describing isn't Renjun I know. Haewon, please, don't decide who he is just because someone in the past—"

"You're not listening! He'll throw me out!"

"It won't happen..."

"Can't you fucking do something for me?" Haewon grabbed Jaemin's face. "Do something! A beta like you has a whole household on a leash! Do! Something! I won't leave this house. Never! I'm staying here!"

That was new. Not long ago, Haewon agreed they would leave and live elsewhere.

"Don't do this to me," the beta looked away, a bit annoyed by the omega's desperation.

Haewon moved away and nervously paced his room. Jaemin observed him, standing in the darkness and looking more passive than ever.

"Jaemin, if I end up in the streets," Haewon raced back to him and pointed his finger, "I'd be very disappointed in you. All this time I thought you'd change my mind about betas. But you're more useless than omegas!"

Jaemin hated it when his secondary gender was disrespected. Many people in the past were rude to him because he was a beta. Jeno wasn't, not even once. Renjun—several times but Jaemin only lashed out one time. Haewon held back from making comments, but this one sentence said enough than unspoken words in the past.

It seemed that Haewon realized his mistake too. After all, he just exposed that his mind was set on something negative toward betas.

"Jaeminnie, I—"
