Summary: Sugar finds herself relating to the new girl, Jax wants to have a sleepover.

After dinner (and some delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert, much against Jax's protests), we all started to make our way to our respective rooms.

"So you seem to be taking all of this...well?" I had started up conversation with Pomni as I slowed down to match her short-legged pace.

She snapped out of whatever daze she was in and looked up at me, a nervous smile on her face. "Oh-! Uh, yeah. Thanks."

My smile fell at her nervousness, and I laid a hand on her shoulder. "Listen, if you need anyone to talk to, someone to vent to or to let out all your frustrations on, come knock on my door. I'll always be glad to help. I'm sure Ragatha will agree once she clears her head," I told her in as soft a voice as possible, as to not intimidate her. "Because believe it or not, I know one or two things about losing it."

She looked at the ground, seemingly pondering my words. "Alright. Thank you...-"

"Sugar."

"-Sugar. Thank you, Sugar."

"Anytime, Pom-Pom."

Once Pomni and I reached our rooms, we bid goodnight and went inside.

What I was not surprised to see, was Jax, sprawled out on my bed with a bored look on his face.

"What is it this time, you big baby?" I teased, sitting down on the edge of the mattress. I heard a dramatic sigh escape his lips.

"I'm not tired," he pouted like a child, crossing his arms over his chest. He's too damn cute for his own good.

I rolled my eyes. "So you came here?"

"Mhm."

"And.... for- why?"

"Cause I felt like it."

"Ah," I smiled lightly, laying down beside him. "Good to know I'm your scapegoat," I chuckled, looking at him.

He looked back at me. "...what now?"

"You're asking me? You were the one that broke into my room. I would at least have though you would have some type of plan."

He was silent for a minute. It looked like there was a million thoughts running behind those big eyes of his, before he cleared his throat and sat up with a blush.

"Wh-whatever."

"...wanna play Crazy Eights?"

"What's that?"

"Wanna play Go Fish?"

"Oh, sure!"

After playing Go Fish for maybe an hour, my eyes started to droop.

I was really starting to get tired, but I didn't want Jax to be up all by himself. Especially after what happened today. I didn't want him to go and overthink anything.

But when I looked up, he was already asleep in his spot on the floor, leaning against my bed.

I sighed with a smile, shaking my head. I took a minute to just...look at him. Despite being a purple rabbit, he was somehow a strange sort of handsome. His features were very soft and highlighted in the glow of my desk lamp.

Grabbing my comforter off my bed, I turned off the lights and sat myself down next to him on the floor, covering the both of us in the blanket before lightly kissing his cheek.

I leant my head gently against his and felt myself slowly drifting to a peaceful sleep.

Before my consciousness completely went away, I felt a soft kiss being placed on my forehead.
