Summary: Caine sends the crew on another wild adventure.
Caine popped his creepy self in and shouted. "Why is everybody just standing around when there's an ADVENTURE to be had!?"
I scoffed. "Because no one likes them, Caine."
He ignored me, continuing on. "Today's adventure is...that's right... This big, spooky mansion had been rumored to be filled to the brim with paranormal activity! It's up to you to solve the house's deep mysteries and capture all the ghoulish ghost activity you can. And for the first time ever you can-"
He paused, nervously looking around. "Where's Zooble? I-I made this adventure really cool and m-matoor just for them!"
Bubble seemed to fly out of the stage, speaking in a backwards language that had us all exchanging looks of confusion.
"What?"
Today was a good day to not know how to speak backwards.
Pomni raised her hand, speaking up. "NPCs aren't gonna become self-aware in this one, right?"
I felt a snort make its way up my throat. I held it back. Jax coughed, nudging my arm, his face also looking strained as if not to laugh. That would be quite rude.
Pomni herself had ended up venting to me what had happened the day before. It took a heavy toll on her.
"How should I know? I'm not the boss. Oh, wait, yes I am!" Caine went into maniacal laughter once more.
Caine said a couple more words, to which I ignored and shoved into a mystery portal once again.
We stood in front of a large, creepy looking manor, with smoking chimneys and boarded up windows. The place gave me the shivers.
A voice suddenly came up behind me as we made our way inside.
"Scared, sugar-" my hand harshly slapped the source of the sound before realizing it was the annoying purple bunny himself.
"OW! What the actual frick, Sugar?" He rubbed his snout.
I gasped, holding in a small chuckle. "S-sorry. You should know not to sneak up on me like that, Cottontail."
His face, from what I could see due to the dim lighting, lit a bright pink.
As we made our way through the threshold, I instantaneously clung to Jax's side. I, for some strange reason, felt better protected under his hold.
"-I'm not really a fan of horror, and I don't really handle jumpscares well-"
I looked at Jax. Jax looked at me. We broke off and at each of Pomni's sides we yelled out, "Boo!"
She jumped out of her skin, shouting profanities at the two of us.
We only laughed.
"That wasn't even scary!" I laughed.
But then, Jax yelled "Boo!" once again, right next to my ear, making me frazzled as I punch him again, this time, on purpose.
"Ow! Would you stop that!?"
Ragatha spoke up, being the mother figure she is.
"Hey, be nice to Pomni. She's had a rough couple of days."
So have we.
"Her...and everyone else," Jax voiced my thoughts. "Right Gangle?" He smirked. Gangle glared up at him.
We reached three doors.
"Rated WOW for all ages!"
"Rated lions, tigers, and bears, Oh MY!"
"Rated AGHHH for mature Zooble's only."
I sighed dramatically. "Do we seriously have to pick one of-"
A creepy, raspy giggle echoed throughout the manor.
The giggles got louder until a scary, black ghost-like creature with glowing eyes appeared, almost screeching.
We all screamed. Pomni screamed so hard her eyes popped out of her head, splatting on the ground below.
The creature turned into a Casper looking ghost, smiling and waving.
"Hey, I'm Ghostly! I'll be your guide today!"
I smiled, clutching onto my chest, my lungs desperately trying to catch up.
Jax patted my back.
"Why won't they go back in?" Pomni asked, her voice shaky as she held both of her eyeballs in her small hands.
"I remember my first wild take. I don't know why they're not retracting though. That didn't happen for me," Kinger took one of her eyeballs, examining it closely.
Ghostly spoke up once more.
"Before you continue on your adventure , you have to choose which door you're gonna go through!"
Ghostly listed off the different doors.
"It is up to you to deci-" the ghost shrieks, suddenly being blown into the vacuum by none other than the raging purple idiot himself.
"JAX! YOU F*$#&@G IDIOT!!"
"What? I thought we were supposed to capture all the ghosts?" Jax teased. I rolled my eyes.
"Uhhh...which door should we choose?"
"Not sure."
"Let's try this out!" Jax took Gangle's comedy mask, throwing into the "Rated AGHHH for mature Zooble's only" door. It turned into a giant beast-like mouth that swallowed the mask whole.
"Don't worry Gangle! I'll get it for you!" Kinger jumped in, taking Pomni down with him, as he still held one of her eyeballs.
The door shut quickly behind them, leaving us all to stand there in shock.
"Oh...that's the scary door!"
"Jax! You absolute idiot! Now we all have to go through that door!" I yelled angrily.
"Not necessarily! They've got this figured out, don't worry, sugarcube!"
I rubbed my temples as Ragatha spoke up.
"Its...okay! Yeah, it's fine! We can find a way to meet up with them later!"
I nodded. She was always the voice of reason.
Jax smirked suddenly.
Uh-oh.
"Hey, Sugar, your shoes untied."
I stupidly looked down. I didn't have shoelaces.
Jax picked me up, throwing my into the middle door.
I screamed.
"YOU A#$%&*E!!!"
"Sugar!" Ragatha and Gangle shouted after me.
(RAGATHA'S POV)
I stared in shock of what Jax had done.
"We'll take this door, Pomni and Hoo-Ha have got the other door, you guys can handle that one, right?"
I only nodded, my jaw slack.
"Catch ya later, dollface!" Jax saluted and jumped in after Sugar, the door closing up just as it did after Kinger and Pomni.
Well then...
I looked over at Gangle and shrugged, shaking the shock off my features.
We walked through the "Rated WOW for all ages" door.
