Summary: As Sugar makes her way out, she collides with a few allies.

I ran as fast as I could with my heels in one hand and my dress in the other.

I had a stampede of NPCs chasing me, and I was trying to find a way out. These halls seemed to be endless.

The people were catching up and I got more and more tired as the halls went on.

(JAX POV)

Kinger would not stop talking about bugs on our way through the castle.

You would think he would have a limited amount of facts when it came to butterflies, but this guy clearly is caught up on his "Insect Weekly".

After a while I stopped walking.

"Do you...hear that?"

Kinger looked at me confused. "Hear what?"

"It sounds like...a lot of people. This way, come on!" I ran down the hallway with Kinger trying to keep up, And when I turned the corner, I bumped into someone.

"Jax!" -Sugar Cube.

"Sugar cube?" -Me.

"Kinger!" -Hoo-Ha.

We looked at each other for a minute before we looked back at the crowds. They were quickly gaining on us, so we had to get moving if we were gonna get out of here.

I stood up and pulled Sugar to her feet, ushered her forward and started running behind her. I looked around to make sure Kinger was still with us, too.

What? I'm not a total asshole.

I yelled to Sugar directions and we ended up making it out of the front doors pretty quick.

With combined effort, we closed the large front doors to the castle, locking the NPCs inside.

We all collapsed on the ground, panting.

"Well that was intense. What was Caine thinking, sending us on a double adventure?" Kinger asked once we had caught our breath.

"I'm not sure. Thank you guys for finding me. Are the others out for the...what was it again?" Sugar started. To be honest, I forgot what the other adventure was too.

"Maple Syrup."

"-maple syrup?"

"Yep. Rags divided us into teams of three, but Zoobie didn't care to show up," I said, annoyed, but honestly, what would they have contributed to the chaos anyways? "Man, I'm really bummed out right now."

Sugar looked at me confused. "Why?"

I sighed. "The lack of bloodshed, violence and all that- I mean, don't get me wrong, that- was chaotic. But still. Caine's adventures are always so...family friendly."

Sugar blinked a few times, before lightly starting to giggle.

Any sound she made was music to my ears, but this sound was my favorite.

I felt my cheeks warm up. My heart started beating faster against my chest and I finally took in her appearance. Her dress fit her body beautifully and her hair looked adorable all pulled up and fancy like that- Dang it. Kinger was right.

I really like Sugar Cube.
