Summary: Ragatha and Sugar share a conversation and try to work out what the hell exactly happened behind that door.
The second we got back to the circus, I was pulled aside by none other than Ragatha herself.
She leaned in once we were far enough away and whispered, "What happened between you guys through that door?"
I looked behind her at Jax who was far off and had his gaze trained on me (whom of which blushed and scowled, looking away), and nudged Ragatha.
"Let's walk and talk."

"Wait, he actually did CPR on you? I wonder why- I mean, if you were dying I'd do it too but he knows you can't die in the circus so- maybe he thought you'd abstract or something?" Ragatha thought out loud as I retold the events of the 'Lions, Tigers, and bears, Oh My!' door."Yeah, he did. But what startled me even more was that when I did eventually wake up, he just- kissed me."
"On the mouth?"
"Yes, on the mouth!"
Ragatha looked stunned. A smile crept its way onto her pretty doll face soon enough, though.
"You know what this means, right?" she asked me excitedly.
I shook my head, furrowing my eyebrows.
"He's so totally in love with you, Sugar!" she squeals and I roll my eyes, smirking.
"Who isn't, though?"
She giggles and bumps our shoulders. "You know what I mean. If it wasn't obvious enough before with how differently he treats you from the rest of us, then I think its definitely clear enough now. He's just really scared of losing you, I suppose. Like you're all he's got left."
I nodded as we continued to walk along. "Well, it's strange, you know? When I first arrived at the circus, I knew I didn't know him, but now I feel like I've met him before. Like he's all of the sudden...familiar to me."
Ragatha tilted her head up in thought. We soon reached the living quarters and Ragatha smiled at me. "That is odd. Maybe you should sleep on it. From the sounds of it, you've had a long day. Go get some rest and we'll talk some more tomorrow, okay?" She gave me a sturdy embrace and I hugged her back, smiling.
"Thanks, Rags."
"Anytime, Sugar."
{JAX POV}
Sugarcube has been gone for a solid two hours and all I wanted to do was see her again. It was like she had turned into some kind of unbearably strong drug that I was addicted to.
All I can hope for is that she wasn't uncomfortable with the whole kissing thing earlier. I mean, it was completely for safety purposes only. Nothing else. Well, all except the last one.
But that much was obvious.
These emotions were so foreign to me yet at the same time so...familiar. Like I've had them before. I mean, I've been stuck in this God-forsaken circus so damn long that this is the new real and the small things I do remember about the real real aren't...as real anymore.
I shouldn't overthink this now, not in front of so many people.
It was the gang and I just chilling on one of the couches in the common area of the circus, the rest of them chatting as Zooble had joined us not too long after we made it back.
"I don't normally like talking to you, but you look like you're thinking really hard, so what's up?"
Speak of the devil and they shall appear.
"Nothing- business of you're none- none of your...just go away!" I huffed and crossed my arms as they sat across from me, an annoyed look on their face.
"It's definitely not nothing, so just spill it. You know I won't tell anyone."
I shook my head before finally making eye contact with them, who seemed as genuine as you'd ever see them, and started talking.
