The Alpha watched as his Omega ran from him, a burning ache forming in his chest. Why hadn't the Omega Prince been excited that he was his fated mate? Had he misread the signs? Was telling him the truth a mistake? He went to go after him, but felt resistance at his back. Turning, he saw that his mother had grabbed the back of his shirt.
"Katsuki, let him go. I think he needs time to think about all of this. I'm sure that the Prince will accept the news soon," she let go and turned to the others in the room, "someone does need to speak with him though."
"Yes I agree, though I don't think it should be me," Queen Midoria said as he looked around the room, "ah! Uraraka! Yes, perfect. Come here."
The Beta moved from her position by the wall, she bowed to the royalty before moving to stand in front of her Queen.
"You have always been close with Izuku, I need you to go and speak to him. Find out where his head is and what he wants to do about..." the Queen glanced at the Alpha Prince, their eyes meeting momentarily, "...about the trials."
"Yes, Your Highness," he bowed again and quickly left the room.
The attention of the room then moved to the young Alpha Prince, his scent had become burnt and was seeping out of his scent glands.
"I'm going to go and train," Katsuki grunted, he couldn't bring himself to look at anyone. His parents had reassured him that the Omega Prince would have been excited about his news, how wrong they had been.
"Of course, Katsuki. Please take it easy though. Don't do anything rash." He knew that his mother was trying to help but it only caused more tension to build within him.
He slammed the door as he left, he would deal with the consequences of his rudeness later.
He stormed his way through the Palace until he found who he was looking for.
"Shitty hair! With me now!"
The red haired Alpha was training with the rest of the guards from the Garnet Kingdom. Kirishima glanced over the rest of the guards, Ashido smiled at her mate and encouraged him to follow the Prince. They were well accustomed to the Alpha's outbursts.
"Hey Bakubro, what's up? That Omega of yours causing problems?" The red head jogged to catch up with Katsuki. All he received in reply was a deep growl. Looks like he had hit the mark there.
"We're training for this fucking third trial. But we aren't doing it here, follow me." Kirishima nodded, knowing now wasn't the time to wind him up any further.
They headed out to the woodland that was nestled against the East side of the Kingdom.
"What kind of training do you want to do? I know that the third trial is a hunt, but we don't know the location yet. What should we try hunting?" The red head was rambling as he looked around at the Prince's chosen location However, the other Alpha was not paying him any attention.
"Shut up Shitty hair. You, I'm going to be hunting you."
"Oh, Oh ok then. How should we do this? I'd have thought it would be easier to catch an Omega than an Alpha..."
"Of course that's true. If I can catch you, then I'll have no problems catching Prince Midoria."
"Ohhhhh," he was nodding his head quite vigorously. Yet, Kirishima couldn't help but notice the far off look in his Prince's eyes.
"Shitty hair, stop that before you turn into Dunce face," he swatted him around the head as the two Alphas headed further into the Wood. They eventually stopped at a large fallen tree.
