Chapter 21: Getting to Know One Another

They were all gathered in the Throne Room. Izuku couldn't seem to stop his legs from shaking. He wanted this, so why did he feel so anxious about it? Looking around, he could see both Alpha Princes conversing with their guards. To his surprise, both seemed happy.

Izuku was focusing in particular on Prince Todoroki, and the dark haired woman that he was talking to. She was beautiful. She must be an Alpha, she was tall, elegant, and emitted a commanding presence. What were they talking about that was making the Alpha Prince smile like that? Prince Todoroki's father hadn't arrived yet. Izuku wished that he never would. That Alpha terrified him.

The Omega was standing with his parents on the Dias when King Yagi cleared his throat. "Good morning everyone. Thank you for joining us here this morning-" A loud thud echoed across the room. Izuku couldn't contain the whimper, taking a few steps backwards. King Enji Todoroki had arrived.

The gigantic Alpha didn't speak, not even apologising for being late. He huffed loudly as he went to stand with his son, he placed a large hand on the young Alpha's shoulder and grinned. Izuku was pretty sure that he saw a slight wince on the Prince's face. It was gone so quickly, a stoic expression taking its place. Gone also, was the smiling Alpha Prince.

"As I was saying," Yagi began to speak again, "I appreciate you all gathering here on such short notice. Especially after the events that occurred during the recent trial. I want to guarantee that the Alphas will be found and dealt with accordingly."

Izuku had stopped listening at this point, he knew that his father would be discussing how they planned to track down the intruders and keep everyone safe. He was now looking at the other Alpha Prince, the same Alpha Prince that he had shared a dream with last night. He was standing with that red haired Alpha, they were often together. Izuku would get to know his Royal Guard soon, he would be leaving for the Garnet Kingdom in only a few days.

As the Omega stared at his mate-to-be, his mind couldn't help but wander back to last night.

Izuku tossed and turned in his nest. He couldn't quite get comfortable, something didn't feel right. He'd very much enjoyed the look on the Alpha's face after he'd said his own name and then closed the door. Yet, it was as though there was something missing from his nest. After an hour or so of rearranging the blankets and cushions, the young Omega finally drifted off. Only to be met with the crimson coloured room that he had only seen in his dreams. Those dreams.

"Omega," the voice was powerful and Izuku's inner Omega whimpered. He was laid next to him on the large bed.

"P-Prince Katsuki," the Omega blushed as he looked at those piercing eyes. The two were laid under the bed covers facing one another, naked. Now he knew that this was the real Alpha Prince, and his soon to be mate, how was he supposed to do this? Could he do this?

"You don't need to be nervous around me. You are safe, little one. Though you enjoy playing a dangerous game, don't you? Teasing me so," the Alpha gently caressed Izuku's cheek with his thumb. "We both know how this dream ends, there is no rush. Maybe we could actually have a private conversation for once, before we begin. Here there is no need for titles."

Izuku felt himself smile. Maybe this wasn't such a scary thing, the Alpha did have a point.

"What would you like to talk about, Katsuki?" Izuku wasn't sure why his voice sounded so meek. Or why the Alpha's eyes had just become darker.

The Alpha cleared his throat before he spoke, "oh, well I guess I would like to get to know you a little better," he moved closer to Izuku as he spoke. "We haven't spent that much time alone and we are to be married. I want to know about you. I know that you enjoy reading, but what else? What do you enjoy reading?"
