Aiko & Heeseung
The group moved as quickly and quietly as they could through the chaos of the labs. The red sirens overhead cast an eerie glow, illuminating the sheer terror on the faces of fleeing researchers. The air was thick with tension, each distant snarl or crash sending waves of panic rippling through them.
Heeseung took the lead, his rifle clutched tightly, his sharp eyes scanning every shadow for movement. Behind him, Aiko held her makeshift weapon—a jagged metal rod—with both hands, her knuckles white. Jungwon, Sunghoon, Jake, Sunoo, Yuna, Jay, and Niki moved in a defensive formation, weapons gathered from storage or improvised along the way.
"We don't have time to wait!" Heeseung said, his voice firm but quiet. "Stick together. Weapons ready."
"Weapons ready for what, exactly?" Sunoo asked nervously. "We haven't seen anything for a while."
"That's the problem," Jay muttered, his eyes darting toward every dark corner. "This quiet? It's not good. They're close. I can feel it."
"Guys," Aiko said, her voice shaking slightly, "we have to get to my mom. She'll know what to do."
Heeseung glanced over his shoulder at her. "We will."
As they turned a corner, a chilling screech pierced the air. Everyone froze, the sound of claws scraping against metal echoing from somewhere nearby.
"What the hell was that?" Niki whispered, his grip tightening on a metal pipe.
"Stay calm," Heeseung instructed, motioning for them to press against the wall. "Eyes open. Weapons ready."
The group crept forward, the hallway dimly lit and littered with overturned equipment. They had barely taken a few steps when two neomorphs emerged from a broken vent ahead.
"Move back! Move back!" Heeseung shouted, raising his rifle and firing off two quick shots.
The first neomorph screeched, one of the bullets grazing its side. The second lunged forward, its claw slicing through the air.
Sunghoon stepped in, swinging a fire extinguisher with all his might. The heavy metal collided with the creature's head, sending it staggering back.
"Nice hit!" Jake yelled, firing his pistol and landing a shot in the first neomorph's chest.
But the creatures recovered quickly, their snarls growing more vicious.
"They're not going down easy," Jay muttered, gripping his weapon tightly.
The neomorphs attacked with terrifying speed. One lunged at Sunoo, who barely dodged in time.
"Help!" Sunoo cried, stumbling backward.
"I got you!" Yuna shouted, swinging a crowbar at the creature's legs. It snarled, turning its attention to her.
Heeseung fired again, the bullet hitting the creature's side and causing it to retreat briefly. "Keep moving! Don't let them pin us down!"
