Aiko & Heeseung
The morning sun filtered softly through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. As the group stirred awake, the usual sounds of groaning and yawning filled the air. Sunoo stretched out dramatically, rubbing his eyes as he blinked into the morning light, while Jay was already sitting up, running a hand through his disheveled hair. Ni-ki groaned, rolling over to hide from the light.
Jake was the first to notice, and with a sly grin, pointed at the sight of Heeseung and Aiko. "Well, would you look at that..."
Heeseung blinked awake, feeling a warm weight against his chest. Confused, he looked down, only to find Aiko nestled against him, her head resting on his shoulder, their legs tangled under the blanket. His heart leapt into his throat.
Before Heeseung could even process the situation, Ni-ki sat up and smirked, "Whoa, is this what we're doing now? Cuddling buddies?"
Aiko stirred, waking up at the sound of Ni-ki's teasing. Realizing the position she was in, her eyes went wide, and she quickly sat up, her face flushed. "I—uh—this isn't..."
Heeseung rubbed the back of his neck, trying to fight the redness creeping up his cheeks. "It's not what it looks like, seriously."
"Right," Jay said, raising an eyebrow. "Totally innocent, I'm sure."
Jake laughed, nudging Sunghoon. "We've all seen this coming, though, right? It was bound to happen sooner or later."
Sunghoon gave them a smirk. "Honestly, we've been betting on this for weeks."
Sunoo joined in, grinning. "Hey, don't worry, it's cute. You two looked peaceful."
Heeseung shot them all a glare. "Can we not make a big deal out of this?"
Aiko stood, her face still red. "Let's just get breakfast before they start making this even worse."
Jake hopped up eagerly. "Breakfast it is, lovebirds."
The group made their way to the dining hall, still teasing Heeseung and Aiko as they grabbed plates of scrambled eggs, fruit, and bread. Ni-ki couldn't help but chuckle every time he caught Heeseung's gaze, and Jay threw in the occasional wink, much to Heeseung's dismay.
"Honestly, this place is growing on me," Jake said, his mouth half full of food. "Beds, hot showers, actual food? Feels like paradise compared to what we've been through."
Sunghoon nodded in agreement, swallowing a mouthful of toast. "Yeah, but you can't deny it feels a little... off. Like, too good to be true."
Heeseung, who had been quiet since they'd left the room, finally spoke up. "It is off. Everything's a little too perfect."
Before anyone could reply, a guard approached their table, standing stiffly. "Mrs. Nakamura is ready to see you now. She's prepared to provide the answers you've been waiting for."
