Majed sighed in content and wrapped his arms around Murtasim's torso pushing his head into his stomach making the elder chuckle.
…
"I thought you were mad at me" Murtasim murmured, teasingly.
"Baba!"
"Majed!" Murtasim mimicked.
Upon hearing him whine Murtasim gave in and started to run his fingers through Majed's hair, being careful of his forehead.
Murtasim pulled out his phone when the silence in the room was disturbed by the ringtone. "Hello Sofia"
Majed stiffened whilst Murtasim continued to unconsciously run his fingers through his hair. Deciding to ignore the conversation going on, he leaned his face further into his stomach enjoying the warmth emitted by Murtasim.
Majed felt his eyes drop at the soothing gesture, his arms slowly going limp by his side and his head lolling to the side. Murtasim, who noticed, cut the conversation short, and moved to adjust Majed on the bed, taking his legs out and drying them with a towel before lowering the pyjama's back down.
"B'ba" Majed mumbled unconsciously reaching his hand out.
"Shh... go to sleep Baba ki Jaan" Murtasim smiled at the sight and bent down to press a kiss on his forehead causing Majed to let a sigh out of content, followed by soft snore escaping in the silent room.
Murtasim walked out of the room and down to Mirza's room. Opening the door, he looked around finding stuff scattered around with litter trashed around, whilst his youngest was busy with his PS5.
Shaking his head, he smacked Mirza lightly on the head. He raised an eyebrow when he was awarded a scowl from the youngest in the family.
"What have you made of the room! Get up and start cleaning"
"Baba, I'll do it later. Let me play now, I'm In the middle of the game" Mirza muttered, turning his attention back to the game, whilst Murtasim glared at him before shutting off the whole system.
"Baba!"
Murtasim raised an eyebrow, daring him to talk in that tone again. Mirza turned his face away, fidgeting with the controller in hand.
"Stop sulking and start cleaning! Would it look nice if someone walked into this mess! Even animals know how to clean their place before living in it." Murtasim discoursed but received no response as Mirza just deepened his pout further.
Shaking his head, he took the controller out of Mirza's hand, placing it on the table by the gaming system. Glancing at the still sulking child, he muttered, "You don't need to look like a kicked puppy. I'll help you clean up! Come on!"
Mirza looked up at that, and silently stood up starting to chuck the litter around the room in the bin, as Murtasim focused on putting the used clothes on the laundry basket. Little by little they arranged the room neatly, and Mirza dropped on the bed by the end pretending to wipe off invisible sweat.
"Phew"
"Itna bhi kam nahi kia, Jo itni nautanki kar rahe ho" Murtasim taunted, fixing the pillowcases on the soft pillows.
{You haven't even done that much work so no need to be dramatic about it}
Mirza crosses his arms turning his face away from Murtasim. The eldest rolled his eyes knowing where this was going.
"Accha theek hai, bohot kaam Kia mere bache ne. No need to sulk" Mirza looked up at that.
{Alright, my baby has done a lot of work. No need to sulk}
