"Get in!"...
Majed slowly stepped forward, afraid of the upcoming storm. Murtasim, who was impatiently waiting, yanked him inside the room before shutting the door behind him.
The door was transparent, but it was a one-way glass that allowed you to have a view outside the room, however, outsiders wouldn't be able to see inside.
Murtasim observed him carefully from head to toe, to ensure he was uninjured. Once he was at peace that his son was in a good state, he locked his eyes with Majed.
Majed cast his eyes on the tiled, marble floor, averting his eyes from the cold, chilling gaze that pierced into his scared ones.
"What were you thinking?" Murtasim seethed, yet his voice was calm.
"B..aba" Majed stuttered, glancing up only to downcast his eyes again.
"Look up!"
Majed eyes found their way staring right back at Murtasim whose face was void of any emotion. "I asked you a question! Don't make me repeat myself!"
"Woh, I was bored baba, so I went-" Majed stammered between the sentences but Murtasim wasn't having it when he saw how Majed was speaking slowly, making it hard for him to understand.
"Speak up!" Murtasim growled, his hand tightening on Majed's arm yet the grip was gentle enough to not hurt him.
"Baba... mai office me bore ho raha tha, so I went out with Anshu" Murtasim glared at him dangerously when Majed added, "I promise I was going to come back... before your meeting ended!"
"So I wouldn't have found out that you sneaked out?!" Murtasim questioned, Majed nodded his head but shook it instantly realizing he had just dug himself a deeper grave.
"Planning was good, but my meeting ending early ruined it, right?" Majed didn't respond, both answers would only lead to more trouble.
"Majed, need I remind you but you were already grounded for the stunt you pulled out a few days ago!"
Majed looked away, but Murtasim firmly pinched his chin bringing it to face him, "Why are you looking away now?! You sneaked out, thinking I wouldn't find out? How many times have I told you to not go out without security? How many times have I warned you to not go out alone?! I have a reason for putting these restrictions, is it that hard to follow a few simple rules I've set for your safety?"
Majed's eyes welled up with tears, "I'm... sorry baba"
Murtasim strengthened his heart, ignoring the tears, "What is your sorry going to do? There are so many rivals out there, if something happens to any of you then what will I do with your sorry?"
Majed had no response to that. Murtasim turned around, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
There are so many business rivals out there that play dirty for their own advantage. They have no sympathy for anyone but themselves. They'll do anything for their gain, even if they have to use one's weakness to obtain power.
"B..aba?" Majed mumbled weakly, attempting to speak with confidence yet he failed when Murtasim swirled around with a furious expression.
"Shall we list out what you did?" Murtasim questioned rhetorically. "You were grounded, yet you still sneaked out. You had no security with you, which could've potentially put you in harm's way. You didn't answer your phone! This is the second time you are being warned Majed! You have a phone for a reason, so why didn't you receive my calls, or did you purposely ignore them?"
