San pov:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I softly groaned as I stretched myself a little bit. I reached out to grab my phone and turn the alarm off. I turned my phone around and much to my surprise... my alarm wasn't going off. Even better, it was 4 am.

I sat up on my bed and went over to the edge. While still half asleep I tried to figure out what the sound was and where it was coming from.

One thing was obvious. It didn't come from my room. I stood up with a sigh and opened my bedroom door to investigate my dorm further. As I opened to door the muffled sound got slightly louder.

I walked into the living room to get a better idea of what and where the noise was coming from. What would make this noise at 4 in the morning? I just stood there for a moment before it dawned on me. It was wooyoung. Was he crying? Was he talking to someone? What is happening?

I got closer to the door to his room and the sounds started getting more clear. He was mumbling, almost panicking. My body acted before my brain did and I opened the door. Wooyoung was just lying in his bed. He must be having a dream. I went to sit on the side of his bed and put my hand on his leg.

"Wooyoung." I said as I softly shook him.

No reaction. The mumbling only got louder.

"Wooyoung?" This time I shook his shoulders.

"Please don't-" I heard him say. His brows were scrunched up and his forehead was sweaty.

"Wooyoung wake up." He woke up and his eyes widened. He sat up in shock. A tear rolled down his cheek. He was having a nightmare.

"It's okay, Wooyoung. I'm here." I said as I caressed his shoulder. He was shaking. What the fuck was that nightmare about that he is this scared?

"S-San, please don't leave. They will come back." He said softly, almost whispering as he held my arm which was on his shoulder.

"Who will come back?"

"Finn and s-sohyun." He said as his breathing got faster.

"Calm down wooyoung. It was all fake. All a dream. Now tell me, who are Finn and sohyun?"

"S-San." He shakily saif as his grip on my grip on my arm got stronger.

"It's okay wooyoung. Tell me who they are. I'll protect you from them, alright?" He slowly nodded. I felt his grip get weaker again. His tears started falling again, creating dark spots on his white bedsheets. He leaned forward, putting his head on my shoulder. It was almost as if he didn't want to look me in the eyes while telling me.

"M-my abusers. Ever since seongwha brought them up again...I-I've been feeling like they're after me.
Like they're gonna find me and make me go through this nightmare again." His tears now wetting my naked shoulder. His tears were warm just like his skin. Even though the sad situation, it felt weirdly comfortable.

"They're not after you, Wooyoung. They're long gone. It's all over now." I said as I wrapped my arms around his body, pulling him closer. He hugged me back and started to sniffle lightly. He was obviously not convinced by my words.

"Even if they are, you have me. I'll protect you. Okay? Never forget that."

"M-mhm" he softly hummed as he nodded. His nails now digging into my back.

"Let it all out. You can cry." I said as I started rubbing his back.

We just sat there for a while. Wooyoung crying in my arms as I held him closely. My bare back sticking against his arms. The whole time he was crying I never let go of him. Even though there was nobody else in the dorm, I just wanted to hold him, protect him and be the only one who did so.
