San pov:
"Please, help me." Seonghwa softly asked. His gaze was fixed in the ground as he slumped against the wooden doorframe of his dorm.
"Seonghwa, what's wrong? What happened?" I said with worry as I shot forward to keep Seonghwa from collapsing. His body felt weak in my hands. It felt like he was made of fragile sticks which could break if even the littlest amount of pressure was applied to him. He shook as tears fell from his eyes again.
Wooyoung stood frozen behind me. His cheerful expression from a few seconds ago was wiped off his face and replaced with one of horror. I quickly gave him a glance. I don't even know why. Maybe to help me, no, to help Seonghwa. But he stayed frozen in place, not knowing what to do or how to act.
"Seonghwa, talk to us, please." I tried again. I felt his body tighten, as if he was collecting the power to speak.
"Where is hongjoong? Does wooyoung need to go get him for you? Come on-" I sputtered. Only to get cut off by a scared, almost terrified Seonghwa.
"No! N-no! Please, not hongjoong." His head shot up and his big, teary eyes fixed on mine as his lips trembled.
A terrible feeling sank into me as I saw that look on seonghwa's eyes. It was a look I have seen before. Last year Seonghwa would call me and ask me to come over. When he would do so I knew which time it was. But I thought hongjoong was sober? He didn't lie, did he? He wouldn't do that. Right?
"Seonghwa tell me what happened." I asked once again. My voice more stern than before. I saw Seonghwa swallow and shortly after he spoke.
"He relapsed... h-he has gone crazy a-and I don't know what to do!" I pulled Seonghwa into a hug as I had to keep myself from getting emotional. I quickly turned to wooyoung, still keeping Seonghwa in my arms, to see his face covered in shock.
"Is mark in the dorm?" I asked Seonghwa. He softly nodded.
"Wooyoung, go look for mark. Try to get some information out of him."
"Alright." Wooyoung pushed the door open further and walked past us into seonghwa's tidy room. I also pulled Seonghwa back inside and shut the door closed. I walked us to his sofa and carefully sat him down.
"What happened, Seonghwa." I softly asked as I tucked his tears drenched hair out of his face.
"I-I don't know. I don't know where I went w-wrong, San?" He said as he hid his face in his hands.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Seonghwa. This isn't your fault. Now please tell me what happened." I said as I pulled him back into a hug. I felt his arms wrap around me back tightly.
"At that stupid party, a-after your match. We were having a good time, but he acted weird. He kept asking, almost pressuring me to leave, but I didn't want to. Later he basically dragged me out of the bar and in the streetlights I could see his dialated pupils. After I saw them everything clicked. W-when I saw him for the first time in the club I didn't recognise them, but he was surrounded by his old dealer friends. I-I don't know how long this has been going on, San! I don't know what to do!" He sobbed.
I felt my heart break for him. I had been with them when Seonghwa helped hongjoong get sober. I have seen how hard Seonghwa worked and cared for hongjoong and this is how he repays him. With going behind his back for who knows how long.
I heard Seonghwa mumble something so soft that I didn't hear him even at our close proximity. Whatever it was, it was something sensitive. After he said it he started crying even harder and his grip on me only got stronger.
"What did you say? Sorry, I didn't catch it."
"We were d-dating..."
"What? Seonghwa, are you serious? Weren't you just you know... buddies?" I froze. For how long? He is joking right?
