OMNISCIENT- three months later.
Drea, Apryl and Desiree sat on a Group FaceTime, discussing whatever comes to mind. Drea was watching tv with Jax, Apryl was visiting her mom and Desiree was shopping for her baecation. Last month, Drea and MJ sold their father's organization and made sure to split the profit with Desi and their mother. They even deposited a nice amount in Apryl's account, that should hold her over for a while.
Now they all had to figure out, what's next.
"We haven't had a girls night in so long because yall abandon me for those boyfriends yall got and I just do not appreciate that shit." Drea shook her head.
"We do need a girls night, but if my man call I'm leaving." Apryl said.
"Girl fuck you. I'm taking y'all phones if that's gone be the case."
"You need to get a man, I miss happy and in love Drea, you were much nicer." Desiree said.
"Im still nice."
"You are not honey and from what I hear, ya ex is grumpy too." Apryl responded. "Why can't you just forgive this man?"
"I forgave him but that doesn't meant I need to deal with him."
"At the end of the day both of yall were wrong."
"Nope, we're not having this conversation. I've been doing well. I'm healing, I'm in therapy, please don't try to take me down that rabbit hole again."
"Ugh, well that means you're not coming to his mom's 60th birthday party then? She told me she invited you." Apryl said.
"She did but no. That's weird."
"It's not." Desiree said. "I could see if he's moved on and got married and shit like that then yeah it would be weird but that's not the case. Come turn up."
"I'll think about it."
"Ain't no thinking about it, you coming. We need to turn up before you're off to Atlanta. I can't believe you're leaving us." Desiree tried to hide the sadness on her face but Drea caught it.
Drea decided to go to Atlanta for a while but she wouldn't be staying with her mom. She found her a beautiful sky-rise apartment downtown. It was similar to her place in Houston but gave off that Atlanta vibe. "All I know is I better get a visit from y'all at least once a month."
"You shouldn't be going." Desiree rolled her eyes.
"This is really what you want to do right now?"
"It is. You're leaving Houston to go be in Atlanta by yourself basically. All of your problems are gone Drea, everything is good, and you have family here. I promise you by your thirtieth day there, you're going to regret. You know you will too and that's why you didn't sell your current place."
"What happened to supporting your friends? Huh?! If you'd been through what I have and told me that you needed some space, I'd support you Desi. You always feel like I need your opinion on every fucking thing that I do, when I don't."
"Whoa, time out. When cussing is involved that means this is getting too deep and we don't do that." Apryl said. "Drea, she's just going to miss you and is having a hard time expressing that. I'm going to miss you too but if you feel like this move is what you need to continue your healing journey that I'm all for it and I'll glad come visit. Anthony too."
"Thank you Apryl."
Desiree sat her phone down and wiped the tears from her eyes. She and Drea were stuck at the hip since birth and she never thought that one day her best friend would be thousands of miles away for a long period of time. Des wanted to be understanding and supportive but right now, that was difficult for her.
